“ F uck me over the couch.”
I blinked as what Danny had said sank in. He gazed at me, his pupils dark and his expression pure lust, and I knew that he meant it.
Danny wanted me to fuck him over the arm of his couch. And I was here for it.
I drew him in for another filthy kiss before scrambling out of his lap and pulling him to his feet. He kicked off his shorts and underwear, and I grasped his hip and spun him around, my other hand resting on the small of his back as I positioned him where I wanted him.
Danny moved easily under my touch, lying across the arm of the couch and bracing himself on his elbows so his ass was right in front of me.
I slid both palms down over his ass cheeks and pulled them apart.
I slid a thumb over his hole and my breath caught when it came away slick with lube.
“Jesus,” I muttered, my cock straining against my zipper.
Danny had prepped for me, and it was hot as fuck.
He looked back over one shoulder, his mouth curling up in a teasing grin. “I’m ready whenever you are.”
I pressed the tip of my thumb against his ass again. It sank inside as easily as a knife through butter, and my blood ran hot. If I’d been eager to fuck him before, now I was straight-up desperate.
I yanked my shorts and underwear down hastily, then fished a condom out of my pocket and rolled it on.
I didn’t give Danny any warning other than running my thumbs over his hole and pulling it open before sliding into him in one long, smooth thrust. He made a choked-off sound and clenched around me, and at that, combined with the soft heat of his insides gripping my cock, any shred of self-control I might have possessed vanished.
I fucked into him fast and rough, my thrusts growing shorter as I closed my eyes and focused on the heat gathered in the pit of my stomach and the throbbing in my balls that told me this was going to be over way too fast.
“Fuck, yeah,” Danny gasped out, reaching down and wrapping a hand around his dick and stroking himself.
I gripped his waist and yanked him back onto my cock, sinking impossibly deeper, and yeah, no way was I going to last. From the sounds Danny was making, though, I wasn’t the only one.
I leaned forward, wrapping an arm around him and kissing the back of his neck, catching traces of body wash and sweat as I plowed into him, desperately chasing my climax. I was so fucking close, just one more?—
The front door swung open, and Wilder's voice cut through the air like a knife.
“Hey, Danny, you—what the fuck ?”
I froze.
“Wilder?” Danny asked, and he sounded about as horrified as I felt. I contemplated crawling under the couch as my face heated and my cock wilted.
“Jesus, I so regret having eyes right now,” Wilder groaned. “Just… I was never here, okay?”
And then the front door slammed shut, leaving us alone again.
I groaned and slumped against Danny’s back. “Well, that was horrifying.”
“Wilder’s never gonna let me live this down,” Danny said, sinking his head into his hands. His shoulders started to shake a moment later, and it took me a second to figure out he was?—
“Are you laughing ?”
His shoulders shook harder and he choked out, “Come on, it’s pretty funny.”
“ How ?”
“I so regret having eyes,” Danny quoted before dissolving into a full-on laughing fit.
Thing was, my cock was still in his ass, and the more he laughed, the more his internal muscles tightened, and damned if it didn’t have me getting hard again.
Danny must have felt it because he turned his head and gave me a crooked grin, clenching around me—deliberately this time—and said, “So, wanna finish what we started?”
“Yeah,” I said, my hips rolling instinctively, and all that earlier heat and hunger came roaring back like it had never left.
I found myself thrusting forward as Danny rocked back, and the edge of adrenaline from being interrupted made every sensation sharper, every touch of skin on skin sending shocks racing through me.
From the sounds he was making, Danny felt the same, and it took barely any time before he tensed and stilled, letting out a low groan as he came.
His ass clamped down around my cock, and that was all it took.
I came hard enough that the edges of my vision went a little fuzzy, and I drew in heaving breaths as I plastered myself along Danny’s back and we both melted into the couch.
I stayed there until Danny lifted his head and said, “Shit. I just jizzed all over the couch.”
When I stood on shaky legs and he moved to one side, I saw that he wasn’t kidding.
There was a giant cum stain decorating the dark brown fabric.
It was objectively gross, but still, a snort of laughter escaped me.
When Danny saw it, he started laughing as well, and we giggled like a pair of naughty kids as he grabbed some spray cleaner and a cloth and we did our best to remove the evidence.
Once we’d made the couch respectable—well, jizz-free, because that couch hadn’t been respectable to start with—Danny rubbed the back of his neck and said, “So, um. This is dumb, and you can say no, but you wanna go for a nap?”
I blinked at him. “A nap?”
“Yeah.” He kept his eyes fixed on the floor and dragged his toe across the rug. “I mean, we’ve got the place to ourselves for the rest of the afternoon, and sometimes it’s nice having someone next to you while you sleep, y’know?”
I did know. And it was nice—especially when that someone was a specific gas guy from Goose Run with blond curls, a teasing smile, and a fantastic ass.
But it was probably a bad idea. We were casual and I was pretty sure afternoon naps didn’t fit that description.
Besides, I really didn’t want to be here when Wilder eventually came home again.
The best thing I could do was say no and get the hell out of here.
I opened my mouth to make my excuses and instead found myself saying, “Yeah. A nap sounds good.”
Danny’s face lit up, and he was still smiling when he led me through to his bedroom.
The bed was freshly made and the room was tidy, and I got the feeling Danny had made the effort on my behalf.
I pulled Danny close and kissed him, slow and lazy, just because I could, and when I pulled back, he looked halfway between delighted and flustered, like he’d just won a prize that he hadn’t known he’d been in the running for.
We curled up naked together in his bed and he gave a contented hum as he plastered himself along my back. Warmth gathered in my chest at seeing him so relaxed. Danny had a lot of shit going on but somehow he managed to be upbeat about it, and he deserved these moments of happiness.
Somewhere in the back of my brain a siren sounded, warning me that caring whether Danny was happy was skirting dangerously close to feelings territory, but I ignored it.
It was fine. We were just fooling around.
And besides, even if I was developing an emotional attachment—which I wasn’t—it didn’t matter because I’d likely be gone soon.
I hadn’t told Danny, but the reason I had the day off was that I’d had a Zoom interview in the morning with Winston, Baker and Fisk—and it had gone better than I’d expected.
I’d been able to answer all their questions, they were pleased that I was willing to relocate, and it turned out they’d dealt with Fisher Law in the past and seemed to think that Callahan had high standards when it came to his employees.
They obviously hadn’t met Marty.
At the end of the call, they’d made the usual noises about other candidates and getting back to me, but they’d also asked if I might be available to fly up to New York for a meet and greet.
That more than anything had me optimistic that if things went according to plan, Hopewell and Goose Run would be nothing but a distant memory.
I let out a sigh and wondered why I wasn’t more excited by the prospect.
I hadn’t intended to nap, but apparently the combination of mind-blowing sex and the adrenaline dump from being caught in the middle of mind-blowing sex had caused my body to demand a reset, and when I woke up, the sunlight streaming in Danny’s bedroom window had that hazy quality that told me it was late in the day.
I rolled over to find I was alone, and I was shocked at the stab of disappointment it caused. That feelings alarm sounded again, but I told it to shut the fuck up. I’d just been hoping to trade nice, slow hand jobs before we got out of bed, that was all.
I got up and found my clothes, pulling them on, and when I opened the bedroom door, I caught a snatch of stray laughter, and at the same time my nose twitched like a bloodhound’s. Someone was grilling, and it smelled amazing.
I followed the scent to the back of the house.
The screen door creaked as I opened it, and if I’d had any hopes of peeling out before Danny’s housemates gave me shit, they were dashed there and then.
Cash and Chase were standing side by side, and they gave me identical nods, both raising an eyebrow in sync, which was honestly kind of unnerving.
I nodded back and earned a knowing smile from both of them.
“Hey.” Wilder ran a hand through his long hair and looked everywhere but at me, color flooding his face.
I was tempted to apologize for flashing my ass, but I stomped the urge down—the first thing I told my clients was when in doubt, keep your mouth shut , and this seemed like a great time to follow my own advice.
Danny gave me an easy grin. “Burgers are almost done. You hungry?”
