The moment he saw Joe, it took his breath away. He couldn’t believe that he’d be spending the rest of his life with this beautiful man, the other half of his heart. They both broke into a smile, Joe’s dimples as adorable as ever, as he walked towards him. Ready to take the next step with the love of his life.

Joe and Seb

They walked down the aisle together, hand in hand, laughing and smiling with all their friends and family as they went. Seb’s family, including his brother, Ben, with Harry, and Becky were on one side and Joe’s family sat on the other side. Both Jana and Pam were crying, and Jayne blew them kisses as they walked by. The love and joy they felt overwhelmed them both.

Seb held onto Rocco’s lead, and they could see the looks and laughter as Rocco trotted proudly next to them with the sign around his neck that declared ‘Here come the grooms’. Both Joe and Seb had wanted him involved in the ceremony, and what better way to do it?

As they reached their best men—Aidan and Dave on Joe’s side and Natalia and Dom on Seb’s side—Seb handed Rocco off to Hayden, and they turned to face each other.

The registrar started the service, and they both said their vows. They’d prepared their own, and when Joe missed his cue, laughter rang out around them. He’d been so engrossed with Seb, he hadn’t heard what the registrar had said. They finally exchanged beautiful platinum rings, engraved with each other’s names, and when asked, they both answered, ‘I do’.

Their eyes sparkled with joy as they were declared husband and husband. Joe moved closer to Seb, dipping him to hoots and whistles. They both laughed but then got lost in the kiss, their emotions bleeding into it. As their friends and families cheered and clapped, they managed to pull apart and embraced one another.

After the ceremony was finished, Joe and Seb made their way around the guests, hands clasped, not wanting to let each other go. They’d foregone a traditional wedding breakfast for a never-ending selection of food, and the drinks flowed freely throughout the day and into the night.

As day eventually turned into night, the marquee in the hotel grounds was lit with strings of twinkling white lights. It was perfect and magical and everything they’d wanted. A day that they wouldn’t ever forget.

Neither of them noticed that night had fallen, that the DJ had set up ready to start the evening celebrations. He interrupted the love and laughter and declared that it was time for the couple’s first dance. Joe and Seb looked at each other. This was where it had all begun, and the significance wasn’t lost on either one of them.

“Would Mr and Mr Bradley-Nissim take to the floor, please? It’s time for the first dance.”

Joe and Seb made their way to the centre of the floor, and you could have heard a pin drop. They stood facing each other, a look of absolute love and adoration passed between them. They were right where they were meant to be.

At Last by Etta James filled the room, and Joe held his hand out to Seb.

“Dance with me?” he asked, his eyes shining with unshed tears.

Seb moved into his husband’s arms and kissed him.

“Always and forever, Joe. Always and forever.”
