Didn’t she know it? There were still times that she felt a little lost trying to navigate all these new feelings that she was having.
“Destiny, Pops and I want nothing more than to love and support you and your sister. This doesn’t change anything for us. We still want you.”
A weight lifted off her shoulders hearing those words. They didn’t want to get rid of her, they still wanted to keep her. Destiny didn’t know just how much she feared they would abandon her until Papa uttered those words.
“We spoke to a therapist friend of ours. This wasn’t something that Papa and I were familiar with and we just want to be of support to you.”
“You talked to someone about this?” she muttered. How many people did they tell? Did they tell Emmett and Rae?
“Just Cleo and only because we wanted to understand. We would never share your secret with the world, but Papa and I didn’t know where else to go and she is in the lifestyle and someone we trust dearly.” Pops replied.
That eased her fear some, but she still didn’t like knowing that this lady knew. Destiny was touched that they sought out the advice of a trained professional though. So she couldn’t be too upset with them. She understood why they did it.
“What do we do now?” Destiny timidly asked.
“Well, that’s really up to you, Little Wolf. We want nothing more than to continue to have you in our lives. We don’t need sex from either of you and we understand if that’s something you will never want. We just want you Destiny because you are perfect just the way you are.” Papa responded, once again easing her concerns.
Destiny turned and looked at Jessa with tears in her eyes, they were going to be a family.
“I love you Papa. I love you Pops.” She said as the tears began to flow down her cheeks.
She watched as they both stood, making their way to where she and Jessa sat on the couch. They knelt down in front of them both and pulled them into a hug. “We love you both so much. You’re ours, our Little Cubs.”
“I love you too, both of you.” She heard Jessa mumble in her place against their chest.
“We got you both, forever.” Pops said and Destiny believed him.
EPILOGUE
It had been a few months since Destiny told their Daddies’ her feelings. Jessa was still so proud of her and the growth that she’s made. She had started seeing the therapist that Pops and Papa spoke to and it seems to have really helped.
Jessa has even had a few sessions with Cleo and they were really helpful. She had been struggling letting Pops and Papa take care of everything and Cleo had been helping her work through those struggles and feelings.
Classes began the week after their important dinner and they all settled into a groove together. During the week, Pops and Papa would take them out for dinner or would cook a meal at home. On the weekends, Destiny and Jessa packed up a bag and spent the night. Jessa was getting tired of it though and knew that Destiny agreed.
The end of the semester was coming soon and Jessa knew that eventually they would need to pack up their dorm. Emmett and Rae told them they could move in with them for the summer, but neither Destiny nor her wanted that. What they wanted was Pops and Papa.
It was Friday night and she was sitting at the table as Papa served her chicken cobbler.
“Are you excited for the semester to end?” Pops asked.
“Yes, Sir! I’m not looking forward to exams or trying to pack up the dorm.” She answered.
“Did you decide where you were going to stay?” He asked, looking in her direction.
“With you and Papa if you ever finally ask us.” Destiny replied, throwing a look in his direction.
Jessa busted out in giggles at her sister’s answer. Destiny wasn’t wrong, but she didn’t expect her to say it like that.
“Pops, I think our Little Cubs are trying to tell us something.”
“I think you’re right Papa. Whatever shall we do about that?”
Jessa rolled her eyes at their antics.
“I think it’s time we bring our Little girls home, for good this time.” Papa answered.
Pops smiled before replying, “I couldn’t agree more.”
