Scylla : Sea monster with multiple heads and tentacles; haunts the strait of Messina.

Echidna: Half nereid and half sea serpent; mother of many Greek monsters.

Adonis : Mortal youth of extraordinary beauty; lover of Aphrodite.

Europa : Mortal princess; abducted by Zeus in the form of a bull, mother of Minos and namesake of Europe.

Megaron : Central hall of a Mycenaean palace, often rectangular with a hearth.

Anax : Title for a lord or ruler, often used for Mycenaean kings.

Epetae : ‘Followers of the king’ in the Mycenean period; high-ranking officers outside the typical military hierarchy; here, interpreted as the king’s elite sentinels and personal guard.

Tartarus : Deep abyss in the underworld where the wicked are punished; also personified as a primordial god.

Elysium : Paradise in the underworld for heroes and the virtuous.

Drachmae : Ancient Greek silver coins, used as a basic unit of currency.

Pithoi : Large storage jars used for grains, oils, and wine in ancient Greece.

Peplos : Traditional garments worn by women, draped and fastened at the shoulders.

Chiton : Tunic-like garment worn by men and women, made of lightweight fabric.

Himation : Cloak or wrap worn over a chiton, used for warmth or modesty.
