“Mhm. You could use it on me, or even watch me play with it,” I say and smile when the dark hair on his forearm rises at my touch.
Oh, he wants that.
“C-could I watch… through a window?” The flush growing on his face now that his hair doesn’t cover it is pink like fresh sunburn.
Oh, there’s something so erotic in this mixture of confident desire and shyness.
I can’t get enough of feeling as if I’m capable of intimidating him.
“I won’t know you’re there, lover. If I tire myself out, I might even pass out while it’s still inside me,” I tease, sure I’m hitting the right notes when he stops blinking and breathes harder.
“Someone could then crawl in through the window. You wouldn’t even know.”
But I would, because that someone would most definitely be him.
“Aww, poor me, right?” I ask and lean in, pressing my lips to his.
He sucks on my bottom lip with tenderness that almost feels painful, and I rest my forehead against his as I gasp for air.
“You know… I’ve had some really terrible boyfriends in the past,” I whisper. “I hope I’m not wrong about you.”
“If you don’t think this box is terrible, fear what I do for a living, or that I killed your ex, I think you’ll be fine.
” There’s such vulnerability in his eyes.
As if he’s begging me to tell him he’s good.
I want him to be proud and confident, but it’s also reassuring that he cares so much about my opinion.
“You make me feel really safe, Creep,” I tell him, resting my head on his shoulder as our fingers entwine.
Anyone passing by would just think we’re like any other couple.
And that’s what he wants. He’s so different from some of the other guys I dated.
He doesn’t want to hide me or express his self-hatred in the way he treats me.
On the contrary, he invited me to a rally for everyone to see us together.
Even before we left the cave, I saw that gentle part of him, full of longing for someone to be his.
I might still be defenceless, so much weaker than him, but he doesn’t scare me. Not like—
“Theoretically… if I was afraid of someone, would you… take care of that problem?”
“Yes,” he says without as much as blinking and squeezes my hand tighter. “Is there someone you’re afraid of? In Vulture Hollow?”
He didn’t hesitate for even a moment. It’s scary.
Or rather, it should be scary, but I don’t feel even a bit intimidated. “No. Everyone here is really nice. I was just wondering… you know, theoretically.”
Because I’m hoping Domino will soon move on to someone else. I know Creep would take him on if I asked, but that closeted psycho is freakishly strong, and I worry that fight might not end the way I’d want it to.
I can’t sic my partner on that bastard for no good reason.
It would have been my word against his, and since Domino denies his sexuality even to himself, he’d most certainly tell his club I was lying.
And offend me in the process. And then Creep might just kill him, starting a chain of events between the two clubs that I dread to imagine.
“Yes, Angel. Whatever you need,” he says with such conviction I’ve got no doubt about his words.
We do need to go though, and I still haven’t changed so I excuse myself. While I prepare, Creep goes to take Friend back to his cave, but I can’t be too long, as we’re meeting his buddies in front of the garage in an hour.
He told me it’s fine that I look sexy , so I go all-out, wearing baggy jeans with rips which reveal most of my thighs, a blue crop top featuring a gay rendition of the Lovers card and even use a bit of black eyeliner for that edgy, alternative look.
But when I face myself in the mirror, doubts start to creep in.
I don’t want to be needlessly provocative at an event that’ll surely be toxic masculinity central.
As I’m stuck there, wondering if a long T-shirt wouldn’t be a better choice, there’s a knock on my door and Creep walks in, dressed as before, but with the addition of the biker vest that tells the world he’s the danger.
“Oh fuuuck…” he mutters and bites the side of his hand, staring at me.
I turn to face him as heat crawls up my neck. “I take it you like it?”
Creep nods as he comes closer, and before I know what he’s doing, he drops to his knees and licks my navel. “Especially this bit.”
A soft moan flees my lips, and I find myself burying my fingers in Creep’s soft black hair as my need awakes at the sight of him worshiping me on his knees. Is it naughty that I love it so much?
“You sure it’s not too much for the occasion? I could wear this top again, when we’re home.”
He gets up, as if flustered by what he’s just done, but treats me to a dreamy smile that makes him look like a very happy vampire. “No. You’re never too much. I want everyone to see how pretty you are.”
This choking sensation in my chest, as if he’s burying his hand in my torso and cradling my heart, I love it.
And maybe I’m… falling for him too.
My throat feels too full, so instead of answering like a normal person, I nod and slide my arms around his waist, burying my face in his chest while my heart beats furiously.
I don’t think I ever felt quite like this before.
We don’t cuddle like this outside our own little piece of heaven under the bed, but even though he tenses, he doesn’t push me away.
After a moment, he even puts his arms around me loosely.
I know he’s not averse to me . He’s fighting his demons to give me as much as he is, so I couldn’t be more grateful.
Maybe it’s like holding the spider was for me.
Something he will adjust to, given the chance.
I finally pull away, because we do need to go.
“If you’re sure the terrarium is secure, you can bring Friend here for good.” Because I can be brave too.
Creep opens the door for me. “Really? You’re sure?”
“He’s your baby. It’s time for me to step up as his other daddy,” I tell him with a soft grin.
In this moment, as we walk to his bike, I feel unstoppable.
I count at least thirty bikes as Creep passes me a helmet.
I’m in the eye of the storm, so I couldn’t feel safer.
Most of the club members are going, and there are even cars waiting at the back of this cavalcade.
I’ve never been a part of something this much bigger than me.
All the impatient grunts from the engines, the shiny metal bodies of the bikes, the leather jackets, the smell of gasoline.
It should intimidate me, but instead, it’s like a cocoon wrapping around me with protective softness.
“Come the fuck on, Prospect !” Yeti yells and I turn to spot Clyde mounting his bike right next to Road’s.
“You didn’t fucking say the Butchers were coming,” he says loudly enough that I hear him despite the roar of engines.
Road shakes his head. “I didn’t expect it. Don’t they hate fun?”
Clyde’s lip curls with clear disdain for his former club. “Yeah, but they don’t hate cheap booze and opportunities to fuck.” With that, he puts on his helmet, so if he says anything more, only Road can hear it.
Why? Why the hell is this happening to me?
The news is a bucket of icy water thrown in my face.
When Creep straddles his bike and peeks my way, expecting me to take the bitch seat, I hesitate, because if the Butchers are going to be there, so will Domino.
I’ll be leaping straight into the lion’s mouth, but backing out now would disappoint Creep, and humiliate him in front of everyone.
My mind races as I wonder if I shouldn’t embarrass myself instead and pretend I’ve got diarrhea or something of that nature, but I just—
Creep blinks, reaching out his hand, and when he squeezes my fingers, I know it’s a lost cause.
I’ll go. I only need to keep to the shadows so Domino can’t spot me.
