“Really,” Nate said, wearing a wicked grin that made Cooper want to pin him down and ruin him. “Just like that. I mean, notquitejust like that. I can’t move to Sydney right now, because I’ll need at least a month to sort my shit out. The lease isn’t in my name, but I don’t wanna be a dick to my housemate. And Sully needs time to find a new permanent offsider. And I need to pack, and to sell my ute and let Mum get used to the idea. So yeah, say a month.” He creased his brow then bit his lip. “And, um. Is my sexy CEO mate willing to support me while I settle in and find a job?”

Cooper laughed. “Your sexy CEO mate wouldloveto provide for you. In fact, you should know that I’m going to spoil you rotten. Sorry, but it’s a werewolf thing.”

Nate broke into a grin. “I think I can just about cope. So, a month? If you can wait that long?”

Cooper swallowed around a lump in his throat. His mate was cominghome.“Sweetheart, I’ve waited thirty-eight years. I can wait another month, if I get to have you.” He rolled over, pressing Nate into the mattress beneath him as he kissed him deep and filthy, then kissed his way up Nate’s throat, revelling in the fact that Nate washis.

When they parted, Nate’s face was flushed and his gaze was liquid heat. “Fuck,” he said, his voice thick with want. “MaybeIcan’t wait a month. How does three weeks sound?”

Cooper’s heart beat faster, and his inner wolf danced, delighted. “Perfect. You’ll love it in Sydney, baby.” Cooper kissed the shell of Nate’s ear. “My apartment overlooks the bridge,” he purred, “and my windowsarewerewolf rated.”

“I can’t wait,” Nate said, eyes bright. “I mean, I’m sure I will love it, but at the risk of sounding clichéd, home is wherever you are.” He blinked up at Cooper and wrinkled his nose. “Fuck, that was meant to sound romantic, but it was bloody awful, wasn’t it?”

“It was shocking,” Cooper agreed, smiling so hard that his face hurt. “Lucky for you, I love you anyway.”
