“Such a good heart,” George said gruffly. “I need to knowyouknow it’s good too.”

“You love me,” Jai murmured.

“Da.” Jai didn’t have to open his eyes to know George’s lips were carved into a slight smile.

“Then my heart must be good. I will protect a man with such a good heart.”

“Good,” George murmured, and then he captured Jai’s mouth with his own, their kiss salty and hard. Jai opened his mouth, drifting in and out of sleep for a moment, but George pulled away, laughing.

“Sleep,” he mumbled. “But you’d better be ready to put out tomorrow.”

Jai smiled even as he felt himself drifting away. “We will need a gag, little George. I will make you scream, just for me.”

“No man I’d rather scream for,” George told him, and Jai wanted to chuckle, but he was already asleep, dreaming of delights to come.
