My heart drops like a stone. “Is he fighting?”
I’m aware the club where I fight isn’t the only joint in town, and he shakes his head.
“No, stag weekend.”
“He’s getting married?” I hope I’m right so that Taylor gets her dream come true.
“Yes.”
Thank fuck for that, but something in Tommaso’s expression makes me ask, “What’s the story?”
“That’s what we’re about to find out.”
“I’ll come with you.”
Tommaso’s eyes flash as he shakes his head. “If I only get one day with Taylor, I’m getting it over with tomorrow. Then maybe I can get back to business without the distraction.”
“Good luck with that.” I chuckle softly because if Tommaso thinks that one day with Taylor will ever be enough, he’s dumber than he looks.
Chapter Thirty-One
Taylor
Is it possible to love two men at once? I say love, but I mean desire. I am equally attracted to them and am now stuck in the middle of something I never contemplated happening.
Matteo is silent, his hand caressing mine as we head to his room. As we step inside, the masculine scent reaches out and pulls me back to the familiar like I’m on an invisible leash. This place smells like home. Matteoishome, and as he opens his arms and I settle inside them, I close my eyes and my heart breathes again.
He kisses the top of my head. “I missed you, baby girl.”
I feel slightly guilty because I never thought about him once. My mind was filled with Giorgio and the intensity that comes with him, and I pull away and stare into his eyes and whisper, “I’m sorry, Matteo.”
“What for?”
“Giorgio.” I heave a deep sigh. “I, well, we–”
He places his finger on my lips and smiles sadly. It’s an expression I’m not used to seeing him with, and it tugs on my guilt.
“It’s okay. I expected it. I’m not the only one of us who is obsessed with you.”
“You don’t mind?”
I hate this conversation because it’s as if I have betrayed him, with his brother no less.
He pulls me down on the bed, onto his lap, and his arms wrap around me.
“Taylor, this isn’t a common situation. There are three of us and one of you. We all get something different from this arrangement, something special, intimate and unique. There is nothing wrong with exploring the different sides of your soul. Our relationship is very different from the one you will develop with Giorgio. Even though we are brothers, we are very different people. I cannot give you what he can, and vice versa. Take it all and understand that we are good with that.”
I feel a little better, but I’m still consumed with guilt.
He strokes my face and whispers, “I’m guessing today was a learning experience you need to recover from.”
“He’s different from you, Matteo.”
I kiss him softly on the lips, loving his masculinity. His protective aura surrounds every loaded look he sends my way. Despite what happened today, I still want him. If that makes me a whore, I’ll gladly adopt the title, and as I deepen the kiss, my fingers tangling in his hair, his matching groan to mine tells me we are on the same page.
He eases the top from my body and presses his handagainst my bare skin; the contact is welcome, the anticipation exhilarating.
Our tongues tangle in a sultry dance, and unlike with Giorgio, this is more intimate, softer, delicious and sexy.
