TWENTY
“Mm,” she hummed, watching Noble kiss, lick, and suck his way down and around her body.
“You know, all day I’ve been thinking about how sweet you taste. You taste like you smell,” he moaned, inhaling her scent and savoring the taste of her skin.
“Like what?” Savanhi moaned. He swiped his hot tongue over her pillowy inner thigh.
He chuckled, nipping on the softness. “Home. You smell like home. Like, I can live here and be safe here. And you’ll hold what I plant and nurture it.
Like cherries and cream, and what is that?
Jasmine? It drives me crazy. That night you fucked me to sleep and left me, it was all over the sheets, all over my clothes. It’s all over the house.”
Savanhi chuckled. “I think you like me.”
He pushed her thighs open more and marveled at the pinkness of her center. “Nah, I more than like you.”
“Show me how much and maybe I’ll show you.”
“I’m going to know by the way you listen tonight.”
Savanhi reached down and cupped his chin. “Oh baby, I do not plan on listening tonight.”
Noble pushed three fingers into her silkiness, making the groan and squirm she did look and sound like poetry in motion.
“Deuuuceee,” she slurred. Eyes hooded, watching his face dip further between her thighs. The heat of his mouth connected with her bud, applying just enough pressure to make her gasp and swirl around his face.
Noble kissed and slurped, licked and moaned at the taste of her on his tongue. “You taste like you mine, Sassy.”
“I am,” she shuddered. “Shiiitt.”
With each stroke of his fingers and flick of his tongue, she got wetter.
“Look what you doin’ to me,” she moaned, raking her freshly manicured nails over his waves.
“Mmhmm. Turn over,” he instructed. He sat back, watching that glint of defiance in her eyes.
Savanhi bit her lip, observing the shine of her juices over his lips. “No.”
He rumbled. “No?”
“Uh uh,” Savanhi buzzed, feeling her body carve him. She sat up and pulled his face to hers by his gold chains. She licked and sucked her flavor from his lips. “Lay down.”
“Sass-”
His words cut short by her hands sliding down his body and wrapping around his length. Up and down, slow, controlled strokes to his shaft and palm rotation around his head.
“I said, lay down,” she moaned, nudging him backward.
Noble looked down his body, taking in the beauty of her with his dick in her mouth. The sheen of her saliva coated every inch of him. Eye contact and control.
“Fuuuhhh,” he groaned.
Savanhi threw her ass up, making it shake, wave, and bounce from side-to-side as she sucked and licked his dick. His hands found her hair, gripping the root and thrusting upward.
“You sexy as fuck. That pretty, smart ass fuckin’ mouth,” he growled. “Bring that ass here, Sassy.”
Savanhi kept her mouth on him and turned her body into position, providing him the view he desired.
Noble’s fingers danced between her folds, using her juices to coat his thumb.
Savanhi’s moans filled every inch of the room, growing louder when he clasped his full lips around her clit and pushed his thumb into her ass.
The vibration ripped through her body and offered Noble a splash of arousal over the tip of his nose and lips.
“D-deuce,” she breathed. “D-don’t stop. Please don’t.”
He stopped a devilish grin on his face. “What did I tell you to do?”
Savanhi whined. “It is up.”
He slapped her ass. “Grab the pillow and put my ass up. Let me see my pussy smile at me.”
Savanhi unmounted him, eyes low with desire. “Say please.”
He smirked. “Please, Savanhi.”
“That’s better,” she hummed, turning over and doing as he said.
Noble grabbed her hips and thrusted inside of her just to hear her yelp, whine, and slur. And then she melted as her walls squeezed around him. Savanhi threw her ass back, gripping the sheets, looking over her shoulder, enthralled by the pleasure on his face.
“You feel so – mm, baby,” she panted.
The more she bucked against him, the heavier his breathing became. Every stroke becoming more purposeful.
Noble pulled out, flipped her over, draped her legs over his shoulder, and pushed back in. Savanhi’s eyes rolled back, and her fingers tangled in his chains.
“Noble,” she breathed between kisses and swipes of her tongue over his lips. “You’re mine.”
“Been that way since night one,” he shuddered, his strokes getting heavier. “Been mine. Shit. You got me lost in this pussy.”
“I’ll keep you,” she moaned. “All of you. I swear.”
“Fuck,” he huffed, his face falling into the crook of her neck. Sucking it, he groaned. “I’m not comin’ up off you.”
“I don’t want you to,” she moaned a gasp, feeling herself expand in ways no other man had made happen before. “Fuck the rules.”
“Been broke those muhfuckas,” he groaned, feeling the eruption of his own.
Savanhi welcomed his eruption. Every stroke painted her walls, and she covered him with hers. “You’re making a mess of me.”
“You’re putting me back together.”
Every inch of her body still drummed to Noble’s rhythm. The sun crept into the room filled with Noble’s snores and the evidence of their rounds well into the morning. She groaned, rolling over to her buzzing phone on the nightstand. Opening one eye, she saw the number she’d been hoping to see.
Easing her sore limbs from the bed, she grabbed a robe, donned it around her, and tiptoed out of the room, hoping not to wake Noble.
“You have a phone call from an inmate, Zayden Day, at the Los Oceania County Jail. Do you accept the charges?”
“Yes,” Savanhi replied, eager to hear his voice. The line connected, and she croaked. “Zay.”
“Uh uh girl,” Zayden corrected immediately. “Don’t start your shit. You good? You need me to send someone by with money?”
“I’m good, I’m good,” she stated, clearing her throat. “How are you? Everything okay? Have you talked to your lawyer?”
“I want you to know I’ve cussed you out in seven different ways.”
“Zayden, what did you want me to do? I couldn’t just let you sit there.”
Zayden huffed, knowing his sister’s heart was huge. “I know, but you got to be okay while I’m in here. Are you still dancing? They said they haven’t seen you at the club. What are you doing for money? Tell me you not trickin’.”
“Zay, you got to have some type of faith in me and know that I can survive without you. Why would I trick? Let’s be for real.”
He sighed, “I know. I know. Being in here is fuckin’ with me. I worry about you and these niggas. They’ll want you because of how you’d look on their arm, but they won’t treat you right.”
“And you know that’s for certain,” Savanhi sassed with an eye roll.
“That’s always the case, Vanhi,” Zayden replied, making Savanhi scratch her scalp through her mess of hair.
“That’s kind of disappointing that you don’t trust me to be okay without you.”
“When have you been without me?” Zayden fussed.
“Never, but that’s not the point. I’m without you now.
I’m having to figure it out now. I can’t call you to fix my car or check my apartment before I come home from a late night.
You left me out here on my own, Zay.” Savanhi felt her eyes burn with tears.
“I can’t afford studio time. I can’t dance in a club because these niggas you called friends can’t stand you. I didn’t ask you to hustle for me.”
“When was this complaint when I was paying your rent up for months?”
“I didn’t ask you to pay my rent up for months, Zay, and I remember begging you to find something else. You didn’t listen. You knew it all. Now look, it’s not just you caught up. It’s a mother who has to be away from her child. It’s me out here trying to repair the shit that’s broken-”
“I didn’t call you to argue. I wanted to check on you.”
Savanhi swiped her face free of tears and sighed. “I’m good. Thanks. I paid your retainer and Kymber’s. Hopefully things pan out well for you. I don’t know if you’re going to be home in a year or ten, but I hope you don’t come home and fall into the same trap.”
“Don’t let these niggas fill your head up with dreams. They’re not going to look out for you like I do.”
“That’s where you got me wrong. Where you’ve always gotten me wrong. No one can look out for me or love me better than me. And then everything else follows. Take care of yourself, Zay.”
She ended the call and swiped the tears from her face. “All this crying.”
“You paid my sister’s retainer?” Noble’s voice rumbled her core.
Snapping her head in his direction, she tucked her lip between her teeth. “Yeah, my brother asked me to.”
“You knew she was my sister before you did?”
Savanhi shook her head no.
“So all the money you had to do whatever with, you used it to take care of her.”
She nodded.
“Shit,” Noble blew and clenched his jaw.
Savanhi weakly asked. “What?”
“If I tell you right now, you pull back from me. Get dressed, I’m taking you to breakfast.”
“Say please.”
“Sassy, please.”
She smiled faintly, watching him turn away and roam to the room. The scratches from their throes of passion were evident on his back. “Okay.”
Downtown Los Oceania, Savanhi and Noble walked hand in hand.
“Thank you for breakfast and not bringing up that call,” Savanhi hummed.
“I wouldn’t. You with tears on your face, I cannot take that shit,” he replied.
“But I get it. Your brother might be a little misguided, but I understand his worry. He’s been your protector all your life, and not being able to do it is probably driving him crazy.
I know it gets to me. I look at Areli and I try to figure out what I could’ve done differently to have her mother here with her.
And then I hear y’all somewhere in the house giggling.
And I know she’s going to be okay. I thank you for that. ”
“It’s the least I can do. Honestly, I lost one protector and found another. I’m learning to accept the help and love from others.”
“If we were supposed to be in this world alone, we would all have our own. I know you want your independence. You’re going to have that,” Noble stated.
Savanhi released a dry laugh, purposely biting her tongue. For days, she’d been convincing herself that being kept would fare well with her. The truth was it wouldn’t. Not in this life or the next.
Noble stopped in front of an empty building and furrowed his brows. “What was that?”
She bounced her shoulders. “I’ve been trying to tell myself I’ll be okay with being kept. And since we are in this thing, I have to be honest with both of us. I can’t do it. I adore Areli, but I need to be able to have my own and not just what her uncle gives me.”
Noble hummed and nodded. “Aight, so tell me. What do you want?”
“I need to figure out how to get my own studio,” she stated. “The only way I can stack money that fast is-”
“Don’t even,” he warned, turning his back to open the door.
Savanhi followed him into the empty building. “Deuce, I just want something of my own.”
He hit the light switch and turned to face her. “Is this big enough?”
“Yeah, but what’s the cost of this? I can’t aff-”
“This is yours. Because I interrupted your life. I took you as my own. And I know you will do everything within your realm of integrity to fight for yourself. So this, is yours.”
Tears clouded her vision. “Why?”
“I just told you.”
“I know, but – but why?”
Noble swayed, tightening his jaw before answering. “Because I am pretty sure I love you, and what I heard this morning cements that.”
Savanhi gasped, tears falling from her eyes. “I’ve never. I-”
“I know. You told me. I don’t need you to say it back right now. I just need you to know. I’m in this for real.”
Savanhi crashed her body into his, wrapping her arms around his waist. With haste, Noble held her and kissed the top of her head. “I don’t know what to say.”
“Tell me when you want the interior designer to come in.”
“Some time after you take me home to thank you.” Savanhi raised herself to her tiptoes to kiss his lips.
Noble’s large hands cupped her face and deepened their kiss.
His kisses were becoming one of her favorite things, nipping and sucking her supple lips.
Savanhi pulled away and licked her lips.
“I’ve never liked kissing but you…how long is Areli with Remi? ”
“Until three.”
Savanhi grabbed his hand and pulled him out of her soon-to-be studio. “Good.”
