When we are leaving class, the professor stops us.

“I knew you two would work out your issues. You are meant to know each other, continue to develop your bond.”

We both nod before hurrying away.

“She’s not supernatural is she?” I ask.

Jeremy shakes his head, “no she’s just kooky.”

“How do you know if someone is?” I ask, curious.

“Well, you don’t always know. Most of the time they have something like an aura that gives it away, but if they’re powerful enough they can hide it.”

That’s interesting.

“Do I have the aura?” I ask.

He pauses, “you don’t, it’s probably being hidden by someone else.”

Who is trying to keep me hidden? I don’t get it.

We arrive at my apartment and I let Jeremy and myself in. Anna is sitting on the couch with a boy I haven’t met before, and she looks surprised we are here.

She hops up and comes hug me, “hey Aly! It’s so good to see you.”

Even if it’s only been two days, I get it, I missed her too.

“Hey, I’m going to stay at the guys for a few more days, so I came to get Bailey and some clothes. Is that okay? Maybe we can do coffee or something?”

She nods then brings her focus to Jeremy who is glaring daggers at the guy on the couch.

“This is Ryan,” she nudges me since she’s been talking about Ryan for a while to me, “Ryan this is my roommate Aly and her… friend Jeremy.”

Jeremy clearly doesn’t like that title, around what he’s probably seeing as a threat, “boyfriend actually.”

Anna turns to look at me with wide eyes and mouthsboyfriend?

“Long story,” I whisper in her ear. She nods, knowing I’ll tell her when we are alone next.

“Nice to meet you,” I say to Ryan. He nods from the couch but his gaze keeps returning to Jeremy. Which is fair since he looks like he’s going to kill him.

I grab Jeremy’s hand, “well, we are just going to go pack. Have fun out here!”

I pull him into my room and shut the door behind us. I start throwing stuff in a bag.

“I don’t like him,” Jeremy states still glaring at the door.

“You don’t like anyone,” I respond.

I toss my packed bag to him and go to pack up Bailey’s stuff. Once I have everything ready, we grab Bailey and head back to the guys’ house.

Things finally calm down enough with my bond with Jeremy that I can leave the house and go home. I don’t want to stay apart long but for the past month I’ve been able to do every other night, so I’m not leaving Anna alone too much.

I’ve still made sure to watch every episode of our show, Big House, with her, so we haven’t had any issues. I think she might believe it’s a little weird, but she likes the guys and is into my relationship with them.
