Y/N, as well as the other two were woken by the loud slamming of the bathroom door; the three of them jolting awake as the vampire roommate of theirs stepped out.
"Morning roomies..!" She snickered.
Walking over to the left side of the room, where her bed lay next to Y/N's, grabbing a blood bag from the small plastic bag that lay on her bedside table, "Gift for me roomie? You shouldn't have"
Her fangs, glinting in the dim morning light that entered through the blinds, sunk into the bag of red fluid. The liquid seeping into her mouth as she drank.
"Do you have to drink that in here?" Julia shuddered.
"Don't be so squeamish roomie.." Cressida muttered, licking her lips of the remaining blood that lingered around her mouth. "Where'd you get the blood from Y/N..?"
"Calixto..he said it was a gift from Silas.."
She smirked, "Of course."
Aisha grumbled getting out of her bed whilst making it, "You let a vampire into our room? You let a man into our room?!"
Y/N huffed as she too got up, "I didn't let him in. He just dropped it off last night."
"Whatever..no boys allowed in our dorm."
Cressida scoffed "Right okay."

The halls of Auragon buzzed with low chatter the next morning. Students lingered around the massive bulletin board near the entrance, eyes scanning the fresh sheets of paper pinned up by the administration. The biggest one, written in bold ink, caught Y/N's eye immediately.
"Guess they figured they needed to keep us alive for at least a semester." Julia muttered beside her.
Y/N exhaled, scanning the crowd. Vampires and humans stood apart as usual, though there was a strange energy in the air—whispered conversations, stolen glances. Something was up.
And she was about to find out what.

By lunchtime, the school was buzzing.
The cafeteria was filled with whispers, hushed conversations, stolen glances toward the vampires. But the biggest topic wasn't the fight from yesterday.
It was a party.
"DORMITORY B a.k.a the boys dorm—tonight." Julia whispered excitedly, leaning over her tray. "Some vampire seniors are throwing it, but some humans are actually going!"
Aisha's expression immediately soured. "That sounds like a death wish."
"It sounds fun," Julia corrected. "Come on, Y/N."
Y/N raised an eyebrow. "Why me?"
"Because Aisha won't go." Julia huffed.
Aisha rolled her eyes. "Of course I'm not going. I have enough haram in my life just sharing a room with a vampire. I'm not about to willingly go to some bloodsucker's rave."
"Rave?" Y/N repeated dryly.
Julia sighed dramatically. "Not literally, but it'll be huge. Everyone's talking about it."
"Not everyone," Aisha muttered.
Y/N hesitated. She really wasn't in the mood to be around any vampires outside of forced school settings.
But the way Julia was looking at her—pleading, desperate—made her sigh.
"Fine.." Y/N muttered.
Julia beamed.
Aisha gave her a flat look. "You're an idiot."
"Yeah, probably."

Back in their dorm room, Aisha sat on Y/N's bed, watching with an unimpressed expression as Julia dug through her suitcase, pulling out outfits.
"If you're going to do this, at least look good," Julia said, tossing a top toward Y/N.
Y/N caught it, inspecting it with skepticism. "This is way too small."
"That's the point."
Aisha groaned, already regretting being involved in this process. "This is stupid."
"You don't have to be here, you know," Julia shot back, moving on to makeup.
Aisha sighed but didn't leave. Instead, she folded her arms and watched as her two best friends got ready for what would likely be the worst decision of their lives. As much as she didn't want to admit it, Y/N was afraid she might be right.
She sighed, "If I'm going out, then I'm going out half covered at least. Pass me the leather jacket and my damn boots."
The other two eyed each other with a simultaneous 'OOH~!' "Knock them seniors and vampires out with that attitude Y/N!" Aisha laughed cocking her head back as she slapped her knee, Julia alongside her giggling passing her the boots, "Here madam L/N!"
She scoffed as she pulled them on.
Their laughter was soon interrupted when just as Y/N was finishing up her eyeliner, the door swung open with a soft click, and Cressida strolled in.
She paused mid-step, blinking at the sight before her—Julia fixing Y/N's hair, clothes thrown across the beds, the unmistakable scent of perfume and excitement hanging in the air.
Her eyes narrowed slightly before a slow smirk spread across her face.
"You're getting ready.. for the party?" she drawled, sounding both amused and incredulous.
Julia didn't miss a beat. "You sound surprised."
Cressida scoffed, leaning against the doorframe. "Surprised? No. Entertained? Very." Her gaze flickered over to Y/N, who was finishing the last touches of mascara. "Didn't think you'd be the type to willingly walk into a den of hungry vampires. But hey, who am I to judge?"
Y/N rolled her eyes. "We're not walking into a den, Cressida. It's just a party."
Cressida chuckled. "Right. Just a party." She tilted her head, her smirk widening. "Well, this should be fun."
Aisha muttered something under her breath in Arabic, shaking her head. "Alright it's almost 7PM—curfew is at 10PM, be back by then, or else we're all screwed.."
Y/N had a feeling this night was about to get a lot more complicated.
