Story: Blessing Of Yuri Goddess
With his expert skill in arranging magic staffs and magic robes that looked like a bazaar, Sebastian bowed respectfully as if asking me to choose some magic equipment that I would use during the military expedition that would explore the deepest part of the forest in Marquess Rommel’s territory.
Together with Alice and Alyssa, I walked through the various magic staffs and magic robes that were neatly arranged in the spacious back garden of the mansion, while the day already showing the light of dusk above the sky, it made me have to choose this magical equipment quickly before night.
"Lily-sama, is this necessary for a military expedition?" Mio asked as she walked beside me. Her attitude seemed to be holding back disgust as various magical equipment in front her eyes.
"I think that should be done, Mio," I replied quickly.
"I-Is this related to Lily-sama’s fighting style? Doesn’t Lily-sama prefer a fight that uses her whole body to move?" Mio continued, implicitly suggesting that I not take this magic equipment.
Mio, who still doesn’t like anything related to magic, looks like a child having a tantrum and pouts.
"Mio, do you still hate magic?" I said with a smile that teased Mio.
"Will you hate me after becoming a witch?" I continued asking with a smile that teased Mio.
My teasing question made Mio stand still as if she was thinking about something in her head.
"I-I think that’s too hard to imagine," Mio replied with a confused expression on her face in responding to this.
"Lily-sama will become a great witch in the future if Lily-sama decides to study magic more seriously. However, that will tarnish Lily-sama’s status as the greatest swordswoman I know," Mio continued, muttering something unclear.
Whether in the past or the present, Mio has always been pessimistic about magic like this as if being a female swordsman was a normal thing to do without using magic equipment.
Such thinking often occurs in the two different schools of sword and magic.
Even if studied further, the sword techniques of the Mio family’s descendants, which utilize mystical attack techniques, are at odds with magic techniques.
Doesn’t Mio know that her mystical sword attack technique is like someone who uses magic?
I’m a little worried about this one.
"As I said before, this is training to find a suitable sword technique like the Magic Blade used by the Great Hero in the past," I said to make Mio realize my purpose in using a magic equipment like this.
"To become a Magic Blade, I need to understand magic and how it works.
Although I understand the pattern of magic circles and adjust my magic capacity, I am still not used to using magic in battle because my fights are dominated by fights that use close-range attacks," I continued to explain my reasons.
This kind of forced reason made Mio think hard about how to stay within her ego.
"I know that, but..." Mio was about to voice her opinion before one of my mother’s magic robes caught her attention.
"Hmm... wouldn’t that one magic robe make Lily-sama look beautiful and threatening?" said Mio who saw one of the magic robes that caught her eye.
Mio immediately left me after saying the sentence that made me wonder.
"Momo... Ellen..."
"Am I a beautiful and threatening girl in your eyes?" I asked the two cursed weapons that had become part of my main weapon.
"I won’t be angry if you express your true opinions," I continued to say, guaranteeing the safety of their opinions.
Momo and Ellen who were flying behind me immediately expressed their opinions with Momo speaking first.
"I think that shows too much of your good side, my Monarch," Momo chimed in with her personal opinion.
"Why do you think that would show a good side of me?" I said, tilting my head after hearing that.
"Judging from the white design and how it matches your light brown skin, it would make my Monarch look like a Saintess rather than a Monarch who brings happiness rather than destruction," Momo replied with a serious tone in her voice.
"Does being the Monarch of Holy Destruction require me to destroy something before my eyes?"
"Isn’t that the Monarch’s duty as someone trusted by the Goddess of Destruction?"
"At this time, the Goddess of Destruction does not wish to be summoned back to this mortal world. My task at this time is only to prevent the Goddess of Destruction from being summoned to this world. Even if the Goddess of Destruction is summoned to this world again, it will be a complicated matter to return her to the Goddess’ realm," I replied, speaking at length about this.
Ellen suddenly flew in front of me and expressed her opinion on this matter.
"U-Umm, that magic robe would match the crown you often wear when you are the Monarch of Holy Destruction mode. A magic robe that feels cold and hostile to everything that is not liked would be suitable for your firm attitude that makes me want to bow obediently!" Ellen replied with a loud shout.
Ellen and Momo’s opinions sounded different but had the same compatibility with my attitude as the Monarch of Holy Destruction.
"Looks like I’ll have to use the magic staff for a while, huh?" I grumbled in a small voice that Ellen and Momo couldn’t hear.
The fading light of the orange twilight made several Maids and Butlers come to the back garden of the Mansion while carrying brightly lit magic lanterns.
Some of the magic equipment that Alice and Alyssa were still choosing made me want to ask their opinions before Mio came back with some magic staff and magic robes that looked suitable for me.
I immediately approached Alice and Alyssa who seemed confused.
"What are you girls doing?" I asked Alice and Alyssa who were holding magic staffs with red gems on the tips, like my eyes.
"Ahh! Onee-sama... what a coincidence that Onee-sama is in front of my eyes," Alice said as she directed her gaze at the red gem and my face.
Alice, who was watching my face, looked like she was nodding her head as if comparing something.
"W-What?" I was a little confused about what Alice was doing before she smiled at me.
"This magic staff suits Onee-sama," said Alice as she handed me the magic staff she was holding.
Alice’s outstretched hand that was holding the magic staff made me accept the magic staff from Alice before my body felt a small vibration coming from the magic staff in my hand.
Like a vibration that was scanning my entire body, it made my gaze fall on the magic staff that I was holding.
"What are you doing anyway?" I said to the magic staff that I was holding.
"Onee-sama seems to feel the same way as me. Isn’t that a little unique?" said Alice who seemed to feel the same way as before.
"This magic staff is different from the magic staff I’m currently using," Alice suddenly took out her magic staff made from the roots of a vine that she had made when she was on vacation with Marquess Rommel’s family.
Alice’s magic staff which looked like a plant root came from herbal plant that grew abundantly in the forest near our family’s vacation spot.
Alice’s magic staff already looked old and almost rotten.
"Ah, so this is why Mom wants us to take one of her magic staff to replace this dying one. Could it be that Mom’s magic staff made from plants is dying too?" said Alice who seemed to have understood what our Mother was planning.
"I think so," I replied quickly.
Alice immediately threw her magic staff made from plants into her magic storage space.
I immediately moved the magic staff that I was holding to feel the magic staff that I could use quickly. Unlike the cursed Odachi or cursed katana that could be used for close-range and fast attacks, this magic staff was much more complicated to perform magic attacks quickly.
Waving the magic staff in my hand, I tried to get more used to swinging it.
"It’s not as hard as using you girls," I muttered to Momo and Ellen.
"Of course, my Monarch. To use one of the cursed swords, a large magical capacity is needed to be able to slash a deadly swing. Doesn’t my Monarch realize that all this time using the cursed sword without using your magic and purely use muscle strength?
" said Momo who looked annoyed about something.
"My Monarch, those are the words that hurt me before I was used in battle. I’m still a cursed virgin katana that hasn’t been used to cut down the enemy," Ellen replied in a sulky tone.
I seemed to have hurt the feelings of the two cursed weapons that were flying behind me.
"To be honest, I’m not confident in using a magic staff either and will rely more on you girls. Oh! Speaking of using a cursed sword that requires a large amount of magic, do I always use muscle without magic when using you, Momo?" I replied to Momo’s previous statement.
"My Monarch, you use muscle than magic when using me to cut down enemies. At least my Monarch has used magic several times when using me to deliver destructive and deadly attacks," said Momo, giving an answer that made me understand the gist of what she said.
"Ahhh... so that’s what it means."
I now understand that using the cursed Odachi’s abilities will always be related to the magic capacity of a particular individual.
After using the cursed Odachi several times, I realized that I had been using the cursed weapon in the wrong way. What must be done in using a cursed sword is to supply magic to the cursed weapon to bring out the maximal potential power that the cursed weapon done.
"So, I’ve been using the cursed Odachi the wrong way all this time?" I muttered to myself.
"That’s embarrassing," continued to mutter it to myself.
While I was thinking about something, Alyssa suddenly pulled my arm while showing me a magic robe that exposed too much of bare skin.
"Um, Alyssa, what is that?" I asked, tilting my head to understand what Alyssa was trying to say.
"I think... this will suit Lily-nee’s body size," Alyssa said with a cheerful smile.
When the day almost entered the cold night, I was surprised by Alyssa who was holding a magic robe that was too mature for me.
