Page 62 of Billion-Dollar Ransom
“YOU REALLY DON’T know what you’re doing,” Boo Schraeder said with a sweet smile.
“Pretty sure I know the usual moves.”
Two couldn’t help himself—he leaned forward for another kiss. But Boo pressed an index finger against his head to halt his progress. Her smile disappeared.
“I mean it,” Boo said. “This is not how kidnappers should behave.”
Two found himself disappointed when she removed her finger. He was liking this dominant side of her. Then again, it would be difficult for her to be fully dominant with one hand cuffed to the frame of the cot.
“See,” Two said, “I thought you’d like where this was heading. As the person who has been abducted, you should be trying hard to get close to your abductor. Get him to let his guard down. And then you’ll make your move.”
“My move?”
“Yes, your move. The one where you incapacitate me in a moment of personal weakness and make your escape.”
“This is what I’m talking about,” Boo said. “Instead of being a professional, you’re playing out a sexual fantasy. The strapping kidnapper and the helpless wife with the ridiculously wealthy older husband.”
As she spoke, Two was slowly tracing his finger along her jaw.
“How does this end in your fantasy?” she asked. “Is this just a…”
Boo eventually gave up, sighed, and even began to close her eyes…
then she caught herself. She stared at him sharply for a moment as if to continue her complaints.
Just as quickly, however, she seemed to relent, running her free hand up his tight chest. She surprised him by pinching his left nipple—hard—through his shirt.
Two didn’t flinch. He kind of liked it. “Is that your move?” he asked her.
Boo squeezed harder. “Most kidnappers are sadists, not masochists.”
Still, Two did not flinch. “Like you said, maybe I don’t know what I’m doing.”
Only then did she stop squeezing and finally allow her lips to be kissed again. Two did so eagerly, and soon they were exploring each other. My God, Two thought. What is happening? Had he lost his mind?
The banter was fun at first and not a bad way to pass the long hours between the abduction and eventual release. But maybe this was something more. Something neither of them expected.
And if all this was so Boo Schraeder could make some kind of move to escape… Two had to admit that he didn’t care much. His life had been in free fall for so long that a taste of something this random, this real, was exhilarating.
Boo’s free hand was now on a downward trajectory that led straight to his belt buckle.
Okay, this was actually happening. They were going to have sex.
What are you thinking, what are you thinking, what are you thinking…
She had his belt loosened (so easy for her to pull it from his waist and use it to choke him) and the button of his jeans undone (even easier for her to grab hold of sensitive flesh and twist) before Two realized he needed to respond in kind; he began liberating his captive from some of her clothes.
Two almost had her shirt unbuttoned when a buzz went off in his pants, surprising them both.
Damn. His burner phone.
Boo locked eyes with him. “You should probably…”
“Get that, yeah.”
