“We need a bigger bed,” Mahoney grumbled, keeping a firm hold on Axel. “My ass is touching the edge.”
“We need a better room first,” Carl admitted, “And I haven’t had any luck finding us an apartment with one.”
“Could have a solution to that,” Mahoney said.
“What, you gonna break down the wall completely and turn the hallways into a room extension?”
“Close, but I was thinking of an option that might get you your security deposit back,” Mahoney said. “Once I fix the wall I broke, that is.”
“Whose gonna fix the neighbor we pissed off with all our moaning?” Axel asked. “Wasn’t just the headboard banging when you were getting it on, someone was smacking the floor with something.”
“My solution might fix that too, but I don’t wanna overstep, so maybe we should table that for sometime in the future,” Mahoney offered.
“Too late, fucker, you’ve already gone there, might as well finish it,” Carl groaned, trying to shift his hips only to discover that Scout was dead weight against him.
Shit. The clamps.
“Pretty sure I was the fuckee, not the fucker,” Mahoney quipped as Carl tried to slide a hand between himself and Scout only to discover that the angle wouldn’t allow for it.
“Axel, can you get the clamps off him?” Carl asked.
“I can try.”
Axel scooched closer to Scout, which meant Mahoney followed, putting Carl on the edge of the bed, dangerously close to taking a tumble.
It took the combined effort of Mahoney gently tugging Scout away from Carl and Axel snaking a hand between them to get their clingy octopus boy to loosen his hold on Carl enough for Axel to get the clamps off him.
Scout didn’t even groan when Axel undid them, he just wiggled back up against Carl the moment he was free to do so.
Axel placed the clamps on the pillow and went back to playing with Scout’s hair while Carl locked eyes with Mahoney and shot him a fierce look.
“I’m serious, you need to tell us what the fuck you meant about a solution. You don’t get to drop a bomb like that and then try to walk it back.”
“Wish you’d forget I said anything, it was a talk first, think later moment.”
“Uh-huh,” Carl said. “And I still want to know.”
“I wanna know too,” Scout murmured, voice muffled against Carl’s chest. “More room means more ways of playing.”
“He’s right,” Carl said. “We’d break the bed if we tried some of the things I have in mind.”
“Pretty sure I heard something crack when you were fucking me,” Mahoney grumbled. “And it wasn’t on me.”
“If the bed falls out from under us, just let me lay in the wreckage,” Axel moaned. “Standing is not an option right now and I wasn’t the one with those monster cocks in my ass.”
“Who needs monster porn when we have these two,” Scout groaned, shifting so he could roll, his backside rubbing against Carl’s dick when he did. It gave a halfhearted twitch, but no way was he up for round three, at least not yet.
“No more stalling,” Carl declared. “My naked ass is about to get an up close and personal meeting with the floor so spit it out already and let us determine if it was too soon for you to mention it or not.”
“Just…I’ve had my eye on a house for a little while, huge place too, big enough to fit us and then some. Pretty sure you’d know it if you saw it. It’s the white and blue house on stilts up the beach from the club.”
“I know the place,” Carl said. “That monstrosity could fit a half dozen people easily and still have space not to bump into one another every time you turn around.”
“Exactly.”
“Okay, so what about it?” Carl asked.
“I close on it this Wednesday,” Mahoney admitted.
“No shit?” Carl said.
“That big house on the beach with the double decks?” Axel murmured. “That’s super cool.”
“What would be cooler is not having to ramble around in it alone,” Mahoney ventured. “Since you’re already hunting for a place and all, maybe you’d consider it? Master bedroom is more than big enough for a bed to fit us all.”
The idea had merit and would allow them to more easily explore.
“You’d let us pay rent, right?” Axel asked. “I don’t wanna feel like a freeloader.”
“Me either,” Scout slurred.
Carl could tell he was fading in and out of the conversation with the way he’d twitch and jerk himself back awake every now and again.
“I’m sure we could work something out that would be beneficial to everyone involved,” Mahoney declared.
“Then I’d be willing to entertain it, once our brain cells are functioning again,” Carl said.
“We can teach Axel to surf,” Scout murmured. “Well, you guys could, I’m not good at it yet.”
“You’ll get there,” Mahoney murmured. “Carl and I can help you both figure it out, along with anything else you’d like to learn, if we’ve got the ability to teach you.”
“Taught me a lot already,” Scout slurred as he sighed like a contented cat beneath Axel’s fingers.
“Like what?” Carl asked, curious to know what Scout had learned despite all the struggles he’d faced.
“That family isn’t just the people you share blood with,” Scout said, his words growing more difficult to make out.
“You’re right,” Axel murmured, almost out cold himself. “Sometimes family is the people who rescue you when you’ve almost run out of hope.”
“True that, little one,” Mahoney said as he leaned to kiss the tops of each of their heads. “True, that.”
