They undulated against each other. Leo broke away and rained kisses along Percival’s jaw.
“You’re so fucking beautiful,” Leo breathed against his skin before nipping.
Percival cried out. Heat built inside him, coiling tighter and tighter. He thrust up against Leo’s thigh, desperate now. In his peripheral vision, golden embers flashed.
“I’m close.” Percival gripped Leo’s firm arse cheeks as he rubbed his cock against Leo. “So close.”
“Me too,” Leo said, gasping for breath. “Come. Come now. Come with me.”
Crying out, Percival thrust up against Leo’s firm thigh. The heat exploded inside him, and pleasure washed through him. He threw back his head as every muscle in his body tightened.
Above him, Leo shuddered and groaned. Warm spend spilled between them in spurts. Vaguely, he noticed his own spend was much hotter than Leo’s.
They clutched at each other, their breathing loud in the small room. After a moment, Leo disentangled and leaned down to grab at his drawers. He wiped them both up.
Then Leo collapsed beside him. Percival pulled Leo in for another kiss. Their mouths moved languidly. Their hands explored each other’s bodies. Percival shivered as Leo’s hand glided along the side of his neck.
After a while, the kisses slowed. The hands stopped roaming. And in each other’s embrace, they drifted into sleep.
The next morning, Leo woke him. “We need to get up.” He yawned. “We need to head down to work in the bakery.”
Outside, it was still completely dark.
Percival smoothed his hand over Leo’s hip bone and reached for Leo’s cock. He squeezed. “Do we have a few minutes?”
Leo groaned. “I’m sure we can make time.” Then he lowered his head and captured Percival’s mouth.
A short while later, they washed and tugged clothes hurriedly on. Ebony, seeming to realise that they were heading out, had awoken. She flew to the window.Tap. Tap. Tap.
Leo opened it and watched as she flew off. “Bye, Ebony. Be safe.”
“I’m sure she will be.” Percival waved at the raven.
Leo shut the window once she’d disappeared from sight. “So are you ready for your first day?”
“I hope so.” Honestly Percival wasn’t sure. “Although, I don’t know anything about working in a bakery.”
“I’ll look after you.” Leo gave him a quick peck on the lips. Then he opened the door. “Now let’s go.”
Chapter
Twenty
“Morning, Jas,” Leo said as he left his bedroom.
“Morning.” Jasper, who had been sitting on a chair before the cold fireplace, stood.
For most of their lives, Leo and Jasper had worked the same shift and shared a bedroom. As a result, they’d always gone down to the bakery at the same time. And even though they no longer shared a room, they still waited for the other to wake before going down to work.
Actually, last year, the five-room apartment had held nine siblings. Then Briar had accidentally cast a siren love spell on the majority of his siblings and they had fallen in love.
Briar had not actually realised it was a love spell until much later. But as a result, a bunch of his siblings had found new living arrangements with their partners. Now there was a lot more space in the apartment. Which meant Leo and Jasper got their own rooms.
Leo appreciated the privacy. He’d especially appreciated it last night with Percival in his room.
“So are you the phoenix Leo was telling me about?” Jasper smiled. He tended to be most alert and well rested in the mornings.
“I am,” Percival said.
