Page 66 of A Duke's Temptation Poetess

Colin’s hand explored her body, pulling down her gown to cup her breast, sweeping over her stomach, and at last, reaching the tender flower at the apex of her thighs. Clarissa felt all her muscles draw up tightly, like a bowstring pulled back.

“Are you ready?” Colin asked, his breath hot against her neck.

“Oh, yes!”

Colin straddled Clarissa’s waist. She drew in deep breaths of air and raised her arms over her head. Colin stared at her, his eyes intense. Clarissa’s eyes lowered to Colin’s fingers, as he deftly unbuttoned his trousers. She gasped at the sight of his manhood, large and intimidating. Her throat felt dry.

“I do not know how you will possibly fit,” she said.

“I am delighted to teach you,” he purred. “I will be slow and gentle.”

He shifted, arranging himself between her thighs. Clarissa smiled. “Show me what you learned from Venus St. Clair.”

Colin grinned rakishly. “I purchased a copy of his poetry for you. It is waiting in our townhouse in London.”

Clarissa’s toes curled. She beamed at him at the mention ofour townhouse, at the acknowledgement that they were wed now. Colin lowered his head and kissed the inside of her thigh. Clarissa curled her fingers in the bedclothes, conscious of the sweat pooling beneath her breasts and at the small of her back. She had never felt so exposed and dishevelled before, and it made her feel delightfully wicked.

Colin pressed his tongue against her flower, and Clarissa gasped. He continued licking her and stroking her thighs. Clarissa’s muscles tightened, and her legs shook. Her knees felt weak, and everything inside her tightened until she felt as though she could no longer bear it. Then, in a rush, everything became loose. She fell boneless against the bedclothes, feeling weightless and glorious.

“Did you enjoy that?” Colin asked.

“Oh…” she breathed. “I cannot even think of what metaphor to use for it.”

Colin laughed. Smiling wickedly, he positioned himself before her. Clarissa tensed as she felt his manhood press against her entrance. He entered her slowly, and Clarissa grasped at the sheets and moaned. She felt so full deep inside, and there was a vague pain.

With his slow thrusts, it faded into nothing. Colin moved more quickly, thrusting in and out, and Clarissa tossed her head back. A scream tore from her throat as another wonderful feeling of peace surged through her, accompanied by a newfound wetness between her thighs.

“And that,” Colin said, his eyes sparkling with mischief, “is what the French callthe little death.”
