"Remus wants to give whoever it was a beatdown, but his murder fixation is solely on Kyle. Why? Do you know who it was?" I ask, my brows tugging together as I look at Jace through the rearview mirror.

His cheeks are flushed, his eyes a little wider than normal, but he's still on his phone, so I don't know if he's reacting to my words or something he's seeing.

"Just curious. We can talk about it after this whole Kyle thing," Jace says, clicking his phone screen off before plastering a smile on his lips and making eye contact with me in the mirror.

"It's kind of sad that all those other women won't get justice for what he did to them since we're going to kill him tonight. "

I slow the car down to a stop in a spot outside Kyle's apartment building. There are a couple of cop cars parked by the entrance, but they look empty.

Jace's words take a moment to register since they don't make much sense to me until I take a second. Other women? I put the car in park and twist around to look at the alpha in the backseat.

"What are you talking about?"

"What? You know Hayley isn't the first woman he's done this same shit to, right?" Jace asks me like I'm an idiot, and maybe I am because I didn't think about how Kyle might've affected anyone except for Hayley. My jaw clenches tighter, and I take a deep breath through my nose.

"How many?" I don't know if I actually want to know the answer to that or if I'd rather live in blissful ignorance.

"Don't know yet," Jace shrugs. "They've been coming out after that video blew up. I guess a lot of them thought no one would believe them."

I feel sick at the thought of this happening to more women, knowing Kyle left multiple omegas to deal with their heat on their own, to deal with the consequences of him not actually being sterilized on their own.

I rub my eyes, realizing that as much as I want to end Kyle for what he did to my omega, she's not the only one who's been hurt by him. She's not the only one who deserves to know that he's paying for what he did to her.

I hold out my hand, and Jace slides his phone into my hand, already opened on an article titled 'Charges filed against MMA title holder Kyle Ward. Inside sources say there's upwards of a dozen victims.'

As if the universe is making it clear that there was no way I was going to kill Kyle tonight, he comes screaming out of his apartment building, police officers on either side of him. His hands are behind his back, each officer with a hold on his arms.

My stomach twists in an unexpected way, watching him being escorted out of the apartment building. I look back down at the article, noticing it's timestamped for only a few minutes ago, which means Jace knew a lot more about all of this than he's letting on.

I don't roll my window down to hear what Kyle is screaming about.

It's pretty clear he's unhappy about whatever he's being arrested for, but I just don't have it in me to care about anything he says ever again.

There are too many other things running through my mind.

I need to figure out what this means for Hayley and her daughter.

What it means for me. What it means for the family we're trying to start.

"Does Hayley know?" I ask.

"We didn't know when this was all going to break," Jace shrugs. "Henry wanted to come with you to keep you from doing something stupid, but I told him I could do it."

"And he thought you could handle it?" I ask, barking out a laugh that has barely a hint of humor in it. "I thought he didn't know how strong you are."

"He doesn't, but he knows I'm stubborn and annoying." Jace looks proud as he says it. "But, if the news hadn't dropped yet, I was going to make you my bitch."

Remus flares to life at the stab at our dominance, but Jace doesn't rise to the bait like we did. He just throws his head back and lets out another full belly laugh. At least one of us is enjoying themselves.

" You're not stronger than me, " Remus growls. He sounds certain, but I'm in his head and neither of us is sure how true that is.

Vilkas didn't try to make him submit when the two of them had their stand-off earlier. He could be stronger than us, and we just don't know it yet.

"Guess we'll never know," Jace says, grabbing his phone off the floor of the car. "We should head back now, though. The news will be getting to your omega soon."

"How did you even know about all of this?" I ask.

Jace is like nineteen and spends all of his time either on his phone, helping Henry and Sarah at their bakery and coffee shop, or he's with me.

There's not really any time for him to have gone all super sleuth and found out everything Kyle was up to or all the other women he might've victimized.

Yet somehow, Jace seems to know all about it, knows all about everything Kyle is up to.

Jace clears his throat, not making eye contact with me in the mirror anymore. "When Kyle started talking shit, I started looking into him. He's not a good dude."

"Well, yeah, we kind of figured that out," I say, not liking how Jace's usually easy-going attitude has firmed into something more serious.

He shakes his head like he's trying to clear it so he can think of what he wants to say. I wait, not rushing him since he's been taking this more seriously than anyone else.

"There are forums and stuff where others have come forward about what he's done to them.

Names are never shared, obviously, but it wasn't hard to figure out who they were all talking about once I found the right place.

But that's not important. What's important is that enough of them were willing to come forward if they weren't the only ones.

Hayley's video going out, well, it showed them that at least one person was willing to stand up for herself even if it wasn't voluntarily. "

"Okay, but how did you know?" I ask.

Jace's lips quirk for a second, his lighthearted mood returning. "Dude, I'm way better with omegas than you are." His face flushes as he realizes how that didn't come out how he wanted it to. "What I mean is, I earned their trust and they kept me in the loop of what was happening."

"Uh-huh," I say, letting the subject fall.

For all I know, every time Jace is on his phone, he could be messaging with these people. Honestly, whatever he's up to, at least he's using his snooping for good. A thought has me narrowing my eyes in the mirror, though.

"Why'd you start looking into it?" I ask, but before he can give me the same 'Kyle is a douche' answer, I cut him off. "The real reason, not just that Kyle is a jerk."

Jace shrugs. "You all talk about how I'm probably going to pack up. Until then, I have the family, and I don't like people messing with my family. Kyle was shit talking you, so I decided I wanted to fuck with him. Not my fault he ended up having a closet full of skeletons."

His answer has me smiling because, of course, the kid was just looking out for me, and then everything else just fell into his lap. My good mood lasts for all of a few seconds before something more pressing rises to my attention.

"Why did you all let me think I was going to get to kill him?" I ask, irritation lancing through me at how everyone just let me think I was actually going to go through with my plan.

It wasn't well thought out. I probably wouldn't have gotten away with it, but no one even really tried that hard to stop me. I mean, sure, I snapped and growled at anyone who tried, but still.

"Your omega thought it was hot?" Jace answers with a laugh, and I snap my teeth, not liking him talking about Hayley like that.

"What?" He holds his hands up. "The omega is into the whole violent alpha thing for some reason. We're just being good brothers."

I roll my eyes, put the car in drive, and slowly ease us out of the parking spot. The cop cars are still outside Kyle's building, but there's no reason for us to be here anymore. Kyle isn't going anywhere secluded tonight, and if he has more victims, they deserve to take a chunk out of him, too.

If he gets off somehow, I still say we kill him.

No arguments from me.
