“Oh, Adella. What have you done?”
“Step away from the ledge, Sister Ariella.” Brother Ishtar says.
Adella shakes her head. Brother Ulf pulls her to him, pressing a knife to her throat. My footsteps falter.
“Jump,” she mouths. “Be free.”
“Shut up, whore,” Ulf says.
My face crumples, and I glance at Adella. Her eyes are wide and imploring. Brother Ishtar advances. I will not go back there. I will dash myself upon the rocks before I pay for killing the Prophet.
“I am sorry, Sister.” I whisper, and then I turn and step off the ledge.
CHAPTER THREE
Viking
Idrive the knife uppast the stomach and through the asshole’s pancreas, plucking it from his abdominal cavity. A strangled cry gurgles in his throat as what little blood he has left bubbles up out of his mouth, and his enormous frame finally quits jerking. “You shoulda kept your porky, pedo hands to yourself.”
The skin, muscle, and fat over his abdomen have all been peeled away and hang like a heavy blood-soaked apron in front of his tiny dick.
“Jesus, Vike.” My VP, Blue, shakes his head.
“Ah, man. I missed the best fuckin’ bit.” Meatball thrusts an ice-cold beer at me. “Next time, the prospect goes back for the beer.”
“The Prospect is indisposed.” Breaker tilts his chin in Wingnut’s direction. The kid is puking up his guts over the handrail and into the sea below.
I pop open my can, my slick fingers slipping on the aluminum, and throw back the cool amber liquid. Then I crush it against my thigh and pelt it at the prospect.
“Ow!” He glares and retches again.
I turn back to my canvas. The fat fuck’s insides glisten in the floodlights as I yank his spongy pancreas from the tip of my blade and toss it to the ground.
Meatball steps closer and leans over, inspecting the organ, now covered with sand and dirt. “Christ. What is that? It looks like someone peeled the skin off a dick.”
“Your dick, maybe. Mine would be bigger.” I shove the steel blade into the kiddie rapist’s flesh covering his sternum and carve a deep “V”.
