Emotion crested in his throat, and joy and relief swept through him. Tears stung his eyes. Andrew blinked several times, and when he opened his eyes, he found Marcia’s worried gaze on him, indecision in her expressive features.

“You do not like the idea?”

He shook his head, and her face fell.

“You misunderstand,” he murmured, his voice thick. “I love it.” He nodded. “It is perfect. Just perfect.”

Marcia stilled, and then as he opened his arms to gather her close, she launched herself into his arms.

Andrew pressed a hard kiss against her temple. “I never want to be apart from you,” he rasped.

“And you won’t. I fear you are quite stuck with me, Andrew.”

“And I never want to be unstuck from you.”

She laughed, giddy with joy, and he found laughter spilling from his lips.

“Well, I never want to beunstuckfrom you,” she said.

He kissed her. “And you shan’t,” he promised. “We shall be together forever.”

Marcia slipped her fingers through his, twining them and bringing their joined hands to her heart. “Forever.”

He raised her knuckles to his mouth, placing a tender kiss upon them. “Forever.”
