RUTH:Bitter is an interesting word. Would you say you’re a bitter person?
DAPHNE:Sure, isn’t it obvious? And I would say, Ruth, it takes one to know one. My whole life, I’ve had a sour taste in my mouth. It started when I was a kid and I lived through all those hungry nights and violent mornings. I’ve never really been happy, even when things were going my way.
RUTH:But you’re rich now. You’re sitting in a luxury retirement home, decked out in designer clothes. What could you be bitter about?
DAPHNE:Getting old. Becoming invisible. Losing my health and mobility.
RUTH:Sure, but you’re in your nineties. Some people out there lose their health and mobility much younger, and they don’t have attendants and cushy places to take care of them.
DAPHNE:What do you want me to say? Life’s a bitch. I’ve never really been happy, not for very long. Turns out serial killers aren’t the most well-adjusted lot. . .
ShockAndBlah:
What other crimes do we think Daphne committed? I have a theory that she might have committed the Black Dahlia Murder. Because when you look at old pictures of Daphne, she had a really similar look to Elizabeth Short. And maybe Daphne didn’t like that.
BurntheBookBurnerz:
WTF? The Black Dahlia was killed in 1947 when Daphne was fifteen!!! You really think some dirt-poor farmer’s daughter traveled across the country to play Jack the Ripper? Besides Daphne kills men. I don’t get it. No matter the killer, someone always brings up the Black Dahlia. It’s like true crime’s answer to Godwin’s law.
ShockAndBlah:
That’s what a Nazi would say lollll.
CapoteParty:
What about Gabrielle Hanks? That one seems like a possible match.
StopDropAndTroll:
Wrong gender again, you noob.
PreyAllDay:
THE TYLENOL MURDERS! That’s the one we should be looking into!! We know Daphne has poisoned people—that’s how she killed Warren Ackerman! They happened in 1982 so she was fifty years old. And it got a ton of publicity and it’s obvious that Daphne likes attention! And honestly, old people LOVE Tylenol. My meemaw treats it like a food group!
CapoteParty:
Do we even know if Daphne was in Chicago in 1982?
PreyAllDay:
We DON’T know that she WASN’T there!!
ShockAndBlah:
Ok well if that’s all the proof you need then I’m putting Black Dahlia back on the table!
StopDropAndTroll:

BurntheBookBurnerz:
What about that Miami New Year’s Party in the 2000s? The one where all those people died? I thinkTrue Crime Cantinadid an episode on it?
ShockAndBlah:
Now THAT I could get behind. Although we don’t really know for sure if they were poisoned, right? Weren’t some of the theories things like expired food and faulty air conditioners? My grandma ended up unconscious in a hospital after eating dairy in Mexico. Stuff like that can happen. . .
