Story: The Duke's Bartered Mistress
With no preparation, no teasing, no warning, Demon dropped to his knees beside the bed and lowered his mouth to her core.
Georgia might’ve said something. She might’ve made some sound. But the arousal was immediate, the pleasure astronomical, and any attempts would’ve been incoherent.
It was just like their first times together.
He’d been so abrupt, so unwilling to open himself up to softness, but he’d still cared for her pleasure. And just the sight of him—the scent of him—the sensation of being looked at by those beautiful eyes could make her wet with need.
His tongue was a miracle.
And he knew it, judging from the satisfied way he chuckled against her core as she squirmed.
He licked, he suckled, he stroked. First one finger, then another, slid into her, the sensation a cruel mockery of what she really wanted in her. But still, he drove her higher and higher in only a few dozen heartbeats.
“Demon!” Georgia gasped, as she felt her inner muscles tightening around his fingers.
That’s when he closed his lips around her clitoris.
“Demon!” she screamed, orgasming hard, thrusting her hips off the bed. Waves of joy washed through her but then he withdrew, even as she pulsed.
Then he was bending over her, still dressed, cock in hand. Her pleasure was still throbbing in her core when he pushed into her and she gasped again, spreading her legs to lock around him.
When they’d first come together, he couldn’t even look her in eyes when he fooked her, but now…
As her orgasm continued to milk his cock, Demon planted his palms on the bed and held her gaze as he thrust, again and again.
Each plunge prolonged her pleasure, each thrust wrenched a grunt of need from his lips.
Then, as her pleasure began to abate, he stiffened, and she felt him spend deep inside her.
The sensation was still one she marveled at, all these months later.
He didn’t quite collapse atop her, but as she pulled him down to hold, he rolled them both to one side. They ended entangled, him still in his boots and jacket, atop the counterpane.
It took a while for their breathing to calm. Then he sighed. “Moldy bungle-nuts, woman, ye’re going to kill me.”
Georgia had to chuckle. “Tremulous twatwaffles, husband, you will die happy.”
When he reared back, she saw surprise in his eyes moments before he burst into laughter, his reaction whenever she mimicked his crude language.
Heavens, how she loved seeing him laugh!
Without thinking, she reached up and cupped his scarred cheek. “I love you, Demon.”
He froze, staring down at her, then lowered his lips to hers. This kiss was sweet and short, exactly what she needed.
Then he tucked her head against his shoulder, his hand coming to rest protectively against her stomach. She smiled.
Her big, grumpy beast had certainly been tamed, had he not? Falling in love and discovering he was to become a father had changed him from a surly bear to an adorable cub.
Months ago she’d stood before him, trembling with fear, determined to do what she thought was right. How could she have known that it was the right thing to do, but for the wrong reasons? She didn’t have to impress her father; but Demon had needed her more than he’d known.
Father had spent the last months ignoring her, which was fine by Georgia. She’d seen him once, at Danielle’s wedding, but that was it. Interestingly, it seemed as if the rumors about her scandalous relationship with Demon had ceased—at least, according to the letters from her sister and mother-in-law. Apparently their marriage had been all Society had needed to consider the whole thing “romantic” rather than “torrid”.
The fact Demon was a Duke hadn’t hurt, either.
But once Demon—and his friends—had realized Georgia had known all along where Uncle William was hiding, they thoroughly ignored Father. Being snubbed by two Dukes and a Viscount apparently wasn’t that hurtful to the Earl of Bonkinbone, particularly when neither Duke spent time in London…so each side was happy to ignore the other.
Father must have warned his brother about the developments, however, because the agent Rourke sent to Canada didn’t find Uncle William at the address Georgia had for him. But Demon wasn’t disappointed; if anything, he and his friends seemed excited to be so close on their quarry’s trail.
