But before I could wonder what that was all about Ryan came up on my other side. “Today was so much fun. I can’t wait until they come to our stadium to workout.”
Rhett was right with her. “It was fucking fun watching you tie Seth up in knots. Was that planned?”
Ryan beamed. “Nope. Just raw talent.”
“Fucking hell. Keep it up. The little shit needs more of that in his life.”
Hope rolled her eyes. “Don’t torture people for fun.”
“Why not? You like it.” He leaned down and kissed her cheek.
Ryan gagged. “Gross. Keep your kinky shit to yourselves.”
“I see raw athletic talent and swearing both run in the Ryan family,” I laughed.
Rhett put a hand to his chest. “You noticed.”
Ryan put a hand on his shoulder. “I was impressed and proud that my kin kept up with me today.”
“Well as long as you’re proud.”
“You’re a shit,” she laughed, shaking her head.
“How long are you in town?” I asked Rhett’s girlfriend, Hope.
She wrinkled her nose. “Not long enough. I have to fly out Sunday morning.”
“And she doesn’t come back for a fucking month,” Rhett grunted.
“Aw,” Ryan stuck out her lip, “you’re cute when you’re in love.”
“Fucking hell.”
I left the cousins to badger each other and located Isaac sitting alone in a dark corner watching me. “Thought you’d never come.”
“Not words I hear often from you,” I teased as I sat in his lap.
He cuddled me against his chest. “Thank goodness for that. Having fun?”
“I am. Are you?”
“I am. Just a little tired. Someone kept me up late last night.”
I blushed. “Sorry. I won’t do that tonight. We both need sleep.”
“I didn’t mind.” He kissed my temple. “Now that I’ve met your friends I should probably meet your family.”
I had been trying to broach this subject for a couple of days but kept wavering. I wasn’t entirely sure what was holding me back, but I suspected it had more to do with me than Isaac. “Actually, there’s a thing.”
“A thing?”
“My dad is on tour with Travis and Kristen.” Which he knew but I felt like I needed to be clear. “They’re playing the arena next week, but before that they arranged two days off so the band can get some rest and enjoy the beach. They’re planning a secret concert in the park by your house on Sunday night. It could be a good time to meet everyone in a casual setting.”
He blinked and shook his head like he was clearing it. “Meet the family and a secret concert? Sounds like a perfect night.”
“You’re sure?”
“Absolutely.”
