‘Hmm. That’s a mighty fine way to be woken up,’ he said, with a lazy smile.

‘I thought so too.’ She smiled back.

‘But you can’t just leave it there.’ His eyes were dancing, full of promise.

Before she could say anything further, he’d rolled her over and was gazing down at her. ‘My beautiful Rose. Is it really possible to be this happy? Someone pinch me.’

For a second, his words sent her travelling back to the day he’d caught her in her new dance studio, saying the very same thing. They’d come a long way since then.

With a mischievous glint in her eye, Anoushka reached down to his backside and gave it a quick pinch.

‘Ouch! What was that for?’

‘I was just doing what you told me.’

‘Oh, it’s like that is it?’ He grinned at her.

‘It is.’ She grinned back, her heart dancing with happiness.

‘Well, let me tell you, that’s going to cost you at least a hundred kisses.’

‘In that case, we’d best get started.’ She hitched a suggestive eyebrow at him.

‘Mmm. I think we’d better had,’ he said, pressing a soft kiss to her lips. ‘But just so you know, I intend to take my time.’
