The wheels of my anxious mind spin out of control, and it isn’t too long before Rory invades my personal space again, his hot palms wrapping around my biceps.

And with just those words, Rory dials down the volume on my fears. My courage and anticipation return.

“Agreed.” A deep breath puffs up my chest. “If I’m calling the shots, then I say we go over to that bed?—”

I yelp when Rory picks me up and tosses me on the mattress.

His rough voice is only one notch above a growl as he crawls over my body. “What next?”

“I want you to kiss me.”

“And?”

My cheeks ache with self-consciousness. “Touch me all over and…”

His eyes burn darkly. “Touch you where?”

I cling to my courage. “My breasts,” I whisper.

Rory descends on me with a vengeance, kissing me until my lips are half raw. He teases me, gliding his thumbs in a slow circle toward the center of my breasts. When he finally brushes my nipples, he strokes them into hard points, a caress I feel between my legs. I don’t think anything could feel better until he rolls one between his thumb and forefinger. He keeps up themerciless torment, and I can’t stop from gasping and moaning against his open mouth.

He rears back far enough to look me in the eye. “What next?”

As he digs into my neck again, I lock my ankles around his waist.

Rory notices my squirming and tucks his mouth to mine again, forcing me to focus on him. Only him.

When he pulls back, my breathing is ragged.

“You…” My voice catches. “You don’t have to flatter me like this.”

“Is that what you think I’m doing?” He studies me with narrow eyes, causing my heart to gallop even faster. Rory grinds against me, the steely bulge in his pants rubbing against my clit. “Does this feel like flattery to you?”

I whimper when he grinds again for good measure.

“New rule. No compliments.”
