Story: Star Fated Alpha

He kissed her temple when she got syrup on her lip, and pressed his palm to the small of her back every chance he got.

Their kisses came in pulses.

A short one when she stole his last berry. A slower one when she sat on the kitchen bench and drew him between her knees.

A long, tender kiss that paused everything when he cupped her face and melded his mouth to hers.

His tongue, silken and suckling, ratcheted their craving

With groaned reluctance, they pulled apart, breathing a little harder, their cheeks warm, their pulses racing.

Xander sighed, running a hand through his hair. ‘We should probably get dressed.’

She smirked, still perched on the seat in his shirt, still irresistible. ‘Should we, though?’

He stepped to her again, brushing the backs of his fingers down her thigh. ‘Don’t tempt me.’

She laughed, wrapped her arms around his neck, and kissed him one last time until he pulled away.

‘Xander, you’re breaking the spell,’ she grumbled.

‘Never, we’ll always have this.’

She smiled with such joy that a wild tear of affection, for her, surged in Xander’s soul.

He gave her a sloppy smile, lost in the emotion, passion, and yearning lingering in the sun-drenched cabin.

This morning was theirs, unforgettable and utterly captivating.

SAVVINE

Xander’s hand rested at the small of Savvine’s back as they stepped off the elevator and onto the Signet Co.’s executive and command deck.

Savvine’s pulse was still thrumming from their lovemaking, from his kisses, his hands around her waist as he fed her spoonfuls of honey cream,

She was still confounded by how he’d gazed at her in the golden hush of the cabin, as if she were both a mystery and the answer to his heart’s questions.

She had to tamp down the overwhelming swell of emotion as they entered the boardroom.

They found the rest of the strong guard waiting to continue their discussion from the day before.

A long side commode of mirror-polished black wood ran along one wall.

On it were carafes of filtered water, flutes of juice, a spread of fruits, cured meats, and delectable finger food.

Soon, withkahawacups in hand and picking on a selection of biscotti and sweet treats, they settled into their chairs, chatting.

Xander sat next to Savvine, one hand on her thigh.

The man was not hiding their connection from hishermanos, from his possessive gazes to the soft and lingering caresses.

She adored it all, from the coy smiles and teasing glints in his violet-flamed eyes.

‘Hold up.’
