I lay there in a daze, my legs so numb they might as well not exist, my body still throbbing with such incredible sensations that all I can think isFuck! That was incredible.
He holds me tightly against him as the two of us try to catch our breaths. I cling to him as he moves, carrying me back to the bed. He gently lays me down before climbing up beside me. He tugs me into him as he kisses the top of my head.
He moves back just a little, giving me the space that I need to wrap my head around what just happened. My body is vibrating as if I’m high on adrenaline.
I am.
“Garrett,” I say in a rough voice. “I…”
Love you.
“Come here,” he says softly as he pulls me into him.
I swallow hard and clear my throat. I can’t get all emotional right now, especially not in the heat of the moment.
“Your pussy eating skills are top-notch,” I crack.
He chuckles. “Well, it helps when the meal is so delicious.”
I throw my head back and laugh at how corny he is.
“You can come back for seconds any time you’d like.”
He props himself up on his elbow, puts his finger to my chin, and tips it up so that I’m looking at him.
“I’d live buried between your legs, beautiful.”
My entire body heats up again as I feel my core pulse more. His fingers move so that they slip inside me.
“I’ve never had anyone make me come with just their words,” I whisper as I look away from him.
“No one else ever will either; that pussy is mine,” he growls in my ear as his fingers slide against my swollen clit.
“Shiiiiit,” I moan as I writhe beneath him.
This is going to be a long and amazing night.
Chapter Twenty-Seven
Garrett
Iwake up to sunlight creeping through the curtains, casting warm streaks across the room. My eyes flutter open, and it takes me a second to get my bearings. The slight movement causes the soreness in my body to rear its head.
Oh yes, all night buried and entangled with Maya makes for deliciously sore muscles the next day.
I look over, and there she is—Maya, her face relaxed in a peaceful sleep. Her fiery red hair spills across the pillow like a sunset painted just for me. The rhythm of her breathing is steady and calm, and I can’t help but stare. She’s so breathtakingly beautiful that it almost feels unfair.
It’s the kind of beauty that isn’t just about how she looks—it’s the way she exists. The way her green eyes light up when she’s teasing me, or how her laughter makes everything else around us fade away. Right now, though, she’s just still, lost in whatever dreamland she’s wandering, and I can’t look away.
I’ve always thought “angelic” was such a cliché term to describe someone, but lying here, I finally understand it. There’sa light to her that draws me in. I’ve been with women before, but no one like Maya. She’s strong, smart, gorgeous, and somehow incredibly down-to-earth. I could spend forever in this moment, just watching her.
Oh, now that Aerosmith song finally makes sense.
I don’t want to wake her, so I carefully slip out of bed, doing my best not to make the mattress shift too much. I grab a pair of sweatpants and a T-shirt from the chair in the corner and head downstairs.
In the kitchen, the cabin is quiet, except for the soft hum of the fridge. I open a cabinet, hunting for coffee, and find what I’m looking for easily enough. I set to work brewing a pot and grabbing some eggs and bread to make breakfast. Cooking has always been something I enjoy; there’s something satisfying about creating something simple but meaningful.
As the coffee drips and the scent fills the air, I plate up scrambled eggs, toast, and a little fruit. Nothing fancy, but enough to say, “Good morning” without words.
