Am I making you regret responding yet?
Not yet
So when you use all these exclamation marks, are you saying exclamation mark?
I am. That’s a great visual isn’t it
For real though thank you for responding. The offer still stands to leave you alone if you want me to
I was really... sad. But I think I’m over it. Or at least I get what happened
Friends don’t need to play games
I’m so sorry I made you feel that way!
And I do want to see you again if you’re down
Are you free this weekend?
Yeah maybe Saturday morning?
I can bring my sister if you want to do a group hang
I need to get to know the famous Yobani
Okay yeah a group hang
That’s totally cool
And I’ll shut up about this if it’s totally stale now but it’s actually a holiday
Oh yeah?
Yeah! Free comic book day
Sounds good!
Free Comic Book Day
Reggie
When I open the front door, Yobani is standing there in a black short-sleeved turtleneck.
“I think I could be a turtleneck person,” he says with complete sincerity before I have a chance to roast him. “It goes with the rings.”
He holds up his hands that have been shamelessly decked out with rings for months now. And I have to admit... I’ve come around to them. Luckily he changed his mind about the nose ring, though.
“I think you need a pendant next,” I say. “Maybe a statement piece? A tiefling bust in honor of Trickery?”
“I’m gonna talk to my jewelry guy,” he says, nodding his head vigorously. If he knows I’m messing with him, he’s not letting on.
“Come on.” I wave him in. “Greg’s not here yet.”
“Well, he better get here soon. I’m not trying to be last in line and miss out on all the gold comics.”
“Bro, chill. We’ll be fine.”
