He pulls at my tank top, freeing my breasts. His mouth pops open and he just stares. “They’re fucking perfect,” he practically squeaks. “So round and the perfect size. Perfect for me.” He bites his lip, making grabby hands and I can’t help but laugh again.

I reach up, touching his cheek. “They’re small.”

“No, they’re perfect,” he repeats his earlier sentiment.

I bite my lip. “You can touch them.”

“Can I?” His voice is higher than normal.

He doesn’t wait for my response. He cups my breasts in his palms, testing the weight of them.

“So fucking perfect. Every part of you.” His eyes meet mine while his thumbs roll against my pebbled nipples. “You were made for me, Celine. This is fated.Wewere fated and I’ll thank the universe for giving you to me every single damn day.”

Not only his words, but the reverence in which he looks at me, fills me with warmth.

He rids himself of his clothes and finagles me out of the confines of my tank top until we’re both entirely naked. He’s already fully hard again which seems impossible, but I remind myself this is Zav and he breaks all the rules.

“Do we need a condom?” I ask, my fingers grazing his jaw. “I don’t know how this works.”

He smirks, staring down at me. “I’m your first?”

I roll my eyes at his ridiculousness. “No.”

He pouts. “You got my hopes up for nothing.”

“ImeantI’ve never exactly had sex with a vampire. I … I’m not on birth control and I don’t know about you, but I’m not ready for any human-vampire kids running around.”

His bottom lip pouts even more. “But they’d be so cute.”

“Zav, be serious.”

With a sigh, he says, “Truthfully, human and vampire relations are rare, so I don’t know for certain. There’s not a lot of details on the matter.”

“Drawer,” I point. “Better safe than sorry.”

He frowns, brow furrowing. “I don’t want to know why you have condoms in your drawer.”

“Because”—I mutter, answering him anyway— “I like to be prepared.”

He leans over me and opens the drawer, pulling out the box. His body sags with a relieved sigh when he realizes they’ve never been opened.

Stupid, annoyingly hot possessive vampire. He opens the box and pulls out an entire strip. He rips off one and lays the rest of the row beside my head, giving them a little pat. “We’ll be needing those shortly.”

“Pretty sure you’re getting seconds, are you?” I tease.

He growls, biting the crook of my neck. His fangs have receded for now. “I’m getting forever, love.”

He rips open the packet with his teeth and pulls out the condom, rolling it down his length.

I glide my fingers down his chest to his stomach, tracing each rippling muscle along the way. His eyes flutter shut behind his glasses, fangs poking out again once more.

“Celine.” His voice is a deep, rumbling growl. “Keep touching me like that and I’m going to embarrass myself all over again and that won’t be fun for me or you.”

“Sorry,” I laugh, pulling my hand away from his smooth skin.

“Thank you.” He nips my jaw with his teeth.
