“No wonder he acted that way when he first saw you,” Alaric supplies. “He must have thought he’d seen a ghost.”
Oliver stands. “I’ll get the fireplace ready. And the ropes. And tell James to—”
“Calm down,” Leo says. “If we’re going to do this, we’ll do it my way.”
Oliver looks hurt. “I didn’t think I did that bad of a job with my first hostage situation.”
Leo cuts him with a look. “Keegan’s still standing, isn’t he? And now we have to worry that Eden’s going to be married off to him.”
Oliver concedes. “Fine. We do it your way.”
The evil glint in Leo’s eyes makes my stomach turn over. At least I’m on the inside looking out this time. Everyone better watch out now that the four of us are working together.
