Story: Lords, Ladies and Love
There was nothing between them now. His body slid across hers, tantalizing. “Are you ready?” he asked, examining her face.
She nodded, too breathless to speak.
Raising her hips, he positioned himself. She felt the tip of him nudge between her legs. With one quick thrust, he was inside her.
She cried out. Even though she was no longer a virgin, her body was still getting used to having something so large inside her. Her muscles clenched around his cock, which began to move slowly in and out, pulsing deep inside her.
He quickened his pace, and her insides blossomed with the burning needto orgasm, to experience that sweet release of pleasure. She pulled him close to her as he pounded into her, shaking the bed. He grunted.
She clawed at his back, never close enough. With each rock and thrust, the pleasure built to an achingly high pitch. It swelled in her like a raging, ravaging wave.
She cried out, unable to contain herself and her desire – herneed– to release.
Finally, Reuben gasped, and Angel felt the explosion she had been waiting for. Her mouth hung open in a silent scream asthey moved together as one being, wave after intoxicating wave coursing through her body.
When it was over, she shuddered, gasping. Reuben collapsed on top of her. They lay there panting, a tangle of sweaty limbs and sheets. After several moments, he pressed a kiss to her forehead and rolled over, drawing her into the cocoon of his arms.
“Reuben, that was…”
“Mmm hmm.” He rubbed a soothing hand up and down her arm.
“Will it always be like that?”
He glanced down at her. “For us?” He grinned. “I suspect it will.” Flicking a finger under her chin, he leaned down to kiss her lips. “You bring out the best in me, Angel.”
“As do you with me,” she admitted. “Perhaps my grandfather knew what was best for me after all. Without him, I would never have met you.”
“Perhaps he knew what he was doing for all of you.”
Angel smiled when she thought of her siblings and their recent adventures. “I think he really did.”
THE END
A RAKE NEVER CHANGES HIS SPOTS
Chapter One
London, 1818
Seth smirked as his sister Angel tried to slip in through the doorway of their brother’s office. The door squeaked and a foot crept through the gap, followed by another. Seth kept his attention fixed on the lawyer currently on the opposite side of the huge oak desk that had graced this room for decades before any of them were born.
Mr. Barton either did not notice the entrance of the youngest Templeton sister or did not wish to comment. A breath escaped Angel, and from the corner of Seth’s eye, he saw as their oldest brother, the Marquis of Eastbrook, gave her the briefest of glances. A lone brow arched.
Seth shivered. He did not much envy Angel suffering one of their brother’s withering glares. Seth knew them all too well, unfortunately. There had been many a day he’d been at the receiving end of such a look alongside a lengthy lecture.
Well, gads, if one of the men in their family could not have a little fun, who could? Theo was serious enough for all of them.
Angel settled into the chair next to their mother, and Seth forced himself to keep his expression serious.
“You are late,” their mother whispered to Angel while the lawyer shuffled a few papers.
“Well, you see…there was a problem with my hair. And then I saw Miss Newhurst as I was about to leave, and naturally I could not be rude.Andthere was trouble with my carriage…”She clamped her mouth shut when their mother arched an eyebrow.
Seth managed to mask a snort. Their mother looked so much like Theo when she did that, it was unnerving.
Minerva swung a look toward Seth then to Angel, offering her the briefest of smiles. Fair-haired like he and Theo, Minerva unfortunately did not suit mourning gowns. The gray didn’t flatter her complexion, but then it was potentially her choice of gown that was the problem. Both Angel and his mother looked fine enough. Minerva, however, seemed to take pleasure in covering up what Seth reckoned was probably an attractive body. He didn’t want to think about it too hard, but he’d been told many a time what a beautiful woman Minerva would be if she didn’t dress so damned dowdy.
The lawyer cleared his throat. A thin sheen of sweat covered the man’s forehead, and he licked his lips. Mr. Barton had been the family lawyer for a lifetime and was well-used to an audience with all of them. Why the man looked so bloody nervous, Seth did not know.
