Story: Finding Fate
"Now?"
"Yes. Can I ask it?"
"Sure."
"Has a guy ever gotten you off?"
"Nash." I groan and bury my face against his hard chest. "Why does that matter?"
Rolling me, he turns on his side, putting us nose-to-nose as he rests a hand on my hip, fingers digging in. "Tell me." His brown eyes sparkle in the dark, making everything below quiver in response.
"No."
"Good."
"Good?"
"I want to be the first."
"Oh." Not the brightest response. "You're pretty good at it, then, I guess. More practice." The images of him and other women flash through my mind. "I'm nervous."
He slides his head back an inch to take in my entire face. "Why in the hell would you be nervous? It's just me. Just us. And yeah, maybe I've had more practice, but that doesn't take anything away from what this moment means to me. Hell, maybe I'm nervous too. I've been thinking about this, about you and me, hoping to have this chance to touch you." For emphasis, he slides his hand from my hip and tucks it between my pressed thighs. "Hell, I've dreamed about this. About where I would start in worshiping every inch of your incredible body. And now that you're here, your soft skin against mine, I'm lost."
"Lost?"
"Usually with women, it’s a drunk thing or spur-of-the-moment. I don't think I've ever been with someone when it...."
I don't think I'm breathing. "When it what?"
"Meant so much."
"Oh." Again, not the brightest response, but it's all I can come up with. "I'm nervous that I won't live up to everyone else or what you've built up in your mind. I'm just me."
And there it is. The truth. All my insecurities out, right here in this bed, hoping he looks past them and takes me for me.
"Here's the thing, Pops. You just being you is all I've ever needed but hadn't found. You're more than enough for me for a lifetime and more. Don't ever think of yourself as less. You are so much more than you give yourself credit for." With a sigh, he leans forward, pressing his forehead against mine. "Just let me prove it to you."
"Yes," I respond against his lips, urging them closer. The kiss in the truck wasn't enough. It was only a spark to what could happen here in this bed. If what he's saying is true—no, what he's saying is true. I'm enough. "Show me."
His devouring lips slam against mine, pressing me into the soft mattress. The casualness from earlier has evaporated, only pure hunger driving him. Yet I can sense him holding back, slowing down for me. His lips against mine last only a minute before they pull away to kiss and suck down the length of my neck.
"All you have to say is stop," he murmurs against my skin. "If I go too far, too fast, we can stop."
Stop? Seriously? Hell no, I'm not stopping him. This heat pouring through every pore, making the covers near suffocating, is new, wanted. So this is what all those romance novels were describing. Guess it wasn't all made up.
Sweat beads as the room grows warmer and warmer with each pass of his lips. I kick the sheets off, the cool air allowing a few fretted breaths to fill my lungs until his teeth connect with the soft skin between my neck and shoulder. He chuckles at my yelp and holds me still with one hand on my other shoulder.
"I'm doing what I can here," Nash groans. His fingers tighten on my shoulder as his teeth sink into my earlobe. "But...."
"But what?" I somehow manage between panting breaths.
"I don't want to scare you."
"Scare me? I'm not a virgin."
At the word, his teeth latch onto my shoulder before brushing soft kisses over each indention. "I know, but what I like might scare you. If I get too rough—"
Eyes wide, I stare at the ceiling. "You like it rough?"
"Yes. Can I ask it?"
"Sure."
"Has a guy ever gotten you off?"
"Nash." I groan and bury my face against his hard chest. "Why does that matter?"
