Story: Envy (Criminal Sins 1)
I can’t help but laugh.
“It’s good to see you smile again, buddy,” the Irishman says.
“I’m just thinking of this American criminal mastermind with one of those big Styrofoam hands that the kids used to wear at our high school football games.”
Cyrus’s big belly laugh fills the office. “He’s cheering for our downfall, huh? We’ll we don’t lose. It’s not in our nature.”
We clasp our hands together and I feel a new wave of confidence wash over my well-rested body. All is not lost, not yet. I’ve still got Catalina, and now I’ve finally gotten a lead, too.
Where is that girl, anyway?

Catalina
The castle library is about as cozy as it gets.
Still, when I hear Angel roaring my name from down the hall, I drop the book in my hands and shoot upright.
My life has been so filled with terrifying action and adventure lately, that you’d think I’d be dying for som
e alone time with a good book.
Well, I was, but all of a sudden, I’m restless.
Ever since we arrived in Ireland, at this castle, Angel’s been kind to me, but he’s also been distant. Look, I understand, he’s got a lot on his mind, but there’s so much we haven’t talked about yet. Our deal, his work... our kiss.
It all swirls around inside of me like a tireless storm. I want to discuss it all with him; sit down by one of these rainy windows and just see where we’re at. Sometimes, I can hardly believe I’m halfway across the world. I’ve travelled before, but never over the ocean.
Now, I’m in Europe. How crazy is that?
I have no one to share how crazy that is with. I’m here with Angel, but I almost feel like I’m alone. The first few days were a nice little rest, but now, I hear that deep guttural growl of his calling my name and I’m ready for some action... I just hope it’s the right kind.
“In here!” I shout, shuffling over to the library doors.
“Where!?” he yells back.
“In the library!”
“As if I know where the fucking library is...” I hear him grumble as he turns the corner just across the hall. His eyes light up like shooting stars at the sight of me. That’s a surprise. What’s got him all worked up?
I step outside, eyebrows furled and ready for a little verbal jarring session. “What—” Angel immediately shuts me up with his lips.
The kiss makes me weak, but there’s no falling when a man like Angel is around. His big strong palm pushes up against the small of my back, bringing me in closer to him as he uses his other hand to caress my jaw. After a moment of shock, I surrender to him.
We kiss each other in the library doorway.
It feels so right, so tender, yet so wild. We don’t linger long; Angel is pushing me backwards before I can even taste his tongue, but when my back hits the nearest wall, all bets are off.
A thousand different invisible walls I didn’t know I had built up around me come crumbling down. Angel’s hard body presses against mine in searing waves of pleasure. It doesn’t take long for a throbbing hardness to rise up from between his legs. I push back against it, desperate for more.
The morning after we’d arrived at the castle, Cyrus had woken us up with a gift. Our bedroom closet was suddenly filled with clothing. How did he know my size? The Irishman just laughed and shrugged—Angel would tell me later that Cyrus had a knack for stuff like that, and he’d enough experience with woman in the past to test his golden eye. If I didn’t know any better, I’d have sworn I spotted a hint of possessive jealousy in my fiancé’s tone. He didn’t have to be jealous, though. Cyrus may have gotten my clothes, but Angel got me.
The Colombian king is ripping off one of Cyrus’s gifts now, as he pins me against the library wall, rubbing his eager manhood between my begging thighs.
Most of the new outfits in our closet were high class and gorgeous, but one in particular really caught my eye. A dark blue pair of sweats. I was sick of playing the rich girl, I just wanted to be comfortable.
I hear the tearing of the comfy fabric as Angel rips me from my cozy cocoon and plunges me beneath the fiery waves of his passion.
