“It’s a good thing you own this place, huh?”
Morgan grunted. “I still think we should kick my sisters out. They keep interfering with our private time. That or listening in when we’re making out.”
Cassius turned in the demigod’s arms and arched an eyebrow. “It has been all of ten days since we last had sex.”
Morgan scowled, hands clenching on Cassius’s waist. “That’s ten days too long.”
Cassius laughed. “I missed you when I was in New York.”
Morgan pressed their foreheads together, his eyes gleaming. “I missed you too. I almost told Francis to go find Ortega on his own.”
He took Cassius’s mouth in a kiss that made him quiver with yearning. By the time they came up for air, they were both hot and hard and panting.
“That would have been a bad idea,” Cassius mumbled, relishing the feel of Morgan’s erection pressing into his belly.
“Oh yeah?”
Morgan nudged his chin up and nibbled on his neck.
“Yeah.Ah!”
Cassius gasped and arched. Morgan’s teeth had found the pulse beating frantically at the base of his throat. He suckled on his flesh for torturous seconds before lifting his head and giving him a look that seared his senses.
Morgan took his hand. “Come.”
Cassius blinked when Morgan unfurled his wings instead of guiding him to their bedroom. “Where are we going?”
“Somewhere far away from the nosy people around us,” Morgan said firmly. “Menippe had a gleam in her eyes before she left. I don’t trust that Goddess as far as I can throw her.”
Cassius hesitated and looked back at the apartment.
“Don’t worry.” Morgan kissed him. “I told Loki and Theo where we’re headed.”
Cassius relented and let Morgan pull him into the sky. They flew north, their wings catching the slipstreams from the currents coming off the Pacific. Cassius frowned as they traversed the bay and shot past the brightly lit, iconic bridge that defined the city.
Where is he taking me?
The mountains north of San Francisco loomed up ahead. To his surprise, Morgan led him to a rustic lodge perched on a ridge surrounded by thick woodland. They landed lightly on a deck overlooking Bolinas Bay.
“What is this place?” Cassius murmured.
Morgan grinned and unlocked the door. “It’s a private getaway. I’ve been planning to bring you here for a while, but stuff kept happening.”

Cassius followedMorgan inside the cabin, intrigued.
The decor was homely and not at all what he had come to expect from the demigod. The only rooms Morgan seemed to have paid extra attention to were the bedroom and its ensuite. An opulent four poster graced the polished, wooden floors opposite a fireplace, while the bathroom featured a luxurious tub with views over the forest and the bay.
Suspicion knotted Cassius’s belly as Morgan started a fire in the cozy living room. “Is this a love nest?”
Morgan stared at him over his shoulder. He burst out laughing at the dark look Cassius was giving him. He finished adding logs to the smoldering flames and rose.
He grabbed Cassius’s hand and tugged him close. “Are you jealous?”
Cassius narrowed his eyes. “Answer the question.”
Morgan clasped his waist and kissed his brow. “Don’t worry. I got this place for the two of us.”
