I don’t mean to start a fight, but I can’t stand there and do nothing. I’m just trying to defend the dancer, and instead, I get him fired. I don’t blame Sam for being angry at me, and I’m not the kind of man to leave someone in a mess I created. So I do the only thing I can think of and offer to pay the little spitfire to act as my boyfriend at the holiday gathering in my hometown. It should be a quick, emotionless business deal. But the second I touch Sam, I know it won’t be enough. I need to claim him in the way no other man has and prove to him that we’re meant to be together.
