His family’s reputation preceded him. Everybody knew not to fuck with the Korolovs, they were unhinged savages who only answered to their own rules and couldn’t give less of a fuck about Mafia codes. They were mercenaries, free spirits who openly looked down on The Families, mine included, and fucked with them as they pleased.
Konstantin lived up to his family’s legacy, he roamed the halls of The Academy like he fucking owned it, and I was the lucky girl who got on his last nerve. His forever rival and the one person he could never outsmart in class, no matter how hard he tried.
But as time passed and sickening truths got uncovered, I started to think that, maybe, what I felt for Konstantin wasn’t merely hatred, but something much more lethal.
Something neither of our families would approve of.
Not without blood getting spilled and both our legacies being tinted in crimson.
