Kai Kingsley has zero to little expectations for the autumn equinox celebration his mother is forcing him to attend in a small town that doesn’t even have a five-star hotel for him to stay at, and absolutely nothing fun to do. He’s even less happy about the event when he discovers his mother’s hidden agenda to attempt to force him into a mate bond with some unknown female.
Determined not to allow his family’s outdated beliefs on keeping their nymph bloodline “pure” to guide his life, Kai seeks out a way to avoid a forced bonding, only to stumble upon the answer in the woods talking to a sprite.
