Story: Perfect Three

“B abe! Sorry I’m late .”

She tensed, wondering what on earth was happening. And who the hell had his arms on her! She wondered if she should scream, her heart’s pounding increased.

Rob dropped her wrist and glared up at her rescuer.

Her savior held out his hand to Rob. “Hi, I’m Sebastian. Thanks for taking care of my girl.”

Rob reluctantly shook his hand, his voice surly as he replied, “Rob.”

Lucy hadn’t turned her head so she had no idea who had rescued her, but she did know whoever he was he was tall, smelled delicious, and his skin was a beautiful dark color. Her savior then put an arm around her waist.

Rob had no choice but to smile at them both.

“I’m sorry, Lucy,” Rob said. “Goodbye.” Then he turned and stalked away.

She tried to relax as her savior took her mostly empty glass from her shaking hand then steered her farther into the room.

He ushered her over to stand beside one of the aforementioned hotties leaning against the wall.

The second man had been watching them with a huge grin on his face. Upon reaching him, he spoke to her rescuer in a very sexy voice, which had her suddenly thinking thoughts that were definitely X-rated.

“Watched you do your good deed for the evening.”

Her rescuer answered, his deep melodious voice sending shivers down her spine. “Yep, rescued this gorgeous creature from the unwanted attentions of a tiny rock troll.”

“Ah, I see. I was wondering what was going on, but I think you just wanted an excuse to kiss her.”

Her savior dropped his arm from around her waist so she finally turned slightly to look at him and gasped. Her previously racing heart stopped suddenly for a second. It was the handsome dark-skinned hottie, and he bowed in her direction.

“I have to admit that was part of the reason,” he replied.

Tongue-tied, Lucy had no idea what to say but managed to stammer out a reply. “Oh er ... thank you.”

“Your little friend is glaring angrily at you, or maybe it’s me he’s aiming his anger at. Still, whichever it is, I think you’d better stay here with us.”

She risked a glance across the room.

Rob stared at them. His face showed fury. He was probably wishing he had daggers to throw at them.

Damn!

“My name is Sebastian and this is Jack.”

Flustered, she looked from one to the other. “Um ... I’m Lucy.”

Sebastian leaned down and kissed her cheek again, then Jack pushed himself off the wall and did the same.

There was another rush of blood to her cheeks. Standing alongside them, they were even more handsome.

Sebastian had deep, black eyes that twinkled with interest at her, a flat, broad nose, thick kissable lips, and startling, white teeth. His hair, wiry and black, was definitely untamed. Here and there were streaks of grey that only added to his attractiveness.

There was a wildness about him, an underlying savagery.

Yet there was something regal in his bearing.

She guessed he was around six foot seven.

His lean frame appeared to hide a powerful strength.

He exuded confidence and majesty. She saw his skin had rich, dark chestnut highlights.

She could see them through the open collar of his shirt and on his face.

Where Sebastian was lean with hidden muscle, Jack’s strength was blatantly obvious.

He had a broad chest, his shirt stretched tight by the well-defined muscles under it.

His eyes were pools of light grey, gleaming with joy, and Lucy had the impression laughter was never far from the surface of this man.

He reminded Lucy of a surfer—his dark blond hair looked like it had been bleached in streaks by the sun.

Up close, Lucy thought they were both in their early fifties, maybe around fifty-two or fifty-three. She finally gathered enough wits to thank Sebastian properly. “Thank you for rescuing me.”

“You’re most welcome. It was my pleasure. I could see you were pretty uncomfortable and then that creep grabbed your wrist.”

“I... It was a bit scary. He’s a sort of friend.” She shook her head. “No, actually just a work colleague, but I didn’t know what to do without making a scene. Thanks.”

He looked over at Jack and gave him Lucy’s glass. “The troll made Lucy spill her drink. Can you let the staff know where and then get her another?”

“Sure. What were you drinking, Lucy?”

“It doesn’t matter.”

“Nonsense.”

Jack stood looking down and waiting for her answer, so she said a Red Giant. He grinned and left.

“So, Lucy, what brings you here?”

Lucy pointed over to where her ex-co-workers were gathered. “I was working with them for a while. It was my last day on Friday, so we all came to celebrate.”

“Oh. Where are you working at now?”

“I’m between jobs.”

Lucy was about to explain she worked as a temp and what she did when Jack returned with her drink.

He handed it over. Plus, he had one for both himself and Sebastian. “Here you go, Lucy.”

“Thanks, Jack.”

“Cheers.”

They all clinked glasses and Sebastian said, “Nice to see you up close, Lucy. Jack pointed you out to me.”

“You looked like you had a secret. I saw this little grin on your face.” Jack smiled down at her as he spoke.

Sebastian looked at Jack then her. “Yes, Jack and I were hoping to speak with you.”

Lucy took a sip to cover her confusion. These guys were amazing, but she was a little put off to learn they’d been discussing her. “I hope it wasn’t about anything bad.”

Sebastian laughed. “Hell no. We wondered if you were here with anyone in particular.”

“Oh.”

Sebastian laughed again and dug Jack in the ribs with his elbow. “She’s not going to tell us.”

Lucy looked from one to the other. They both grinned down at her, and she had a rush of warmth all over.

These two were more than delicious, and she wondered what it would be like to go out with one of them.

She blushed again. The looks they gave her seemed to hold more than just a passing interest.

“So are you?”

Lucy shook her head. “No.” Bravely, she added, “All alone and fancy free.”

“Great!” Sebastian suddenly took her drink out of her hand and put it on the tiny ledge running the length of the wall. He grabbed her hand. “Let’s dance.”

“I... I’m not... I can’t dance.”

“Of course you can, and you will.” Sebastian pulled Lucy to the dance floor with Jack trailing behind.

Lucy remembered the sign saying it was Disco night with music that was from the ‘70s and ‘80s disco era. At the moment, Le Freak by Chic belted out.

As they reached the dance floor, Sebastian twisted Lucy around until he was behind her with Jack standing in front. Sebastian had his hands on her hips and began rocking them back and forth.

Grinning, Jack took both her hands. At first, the three of them just rocked and swayed in time to the music, with Lucy feeling self-conscious.

The song came to an end and in its place Donna Summer’s sexy voice filled the room.

‘Love to Love You Baby ’ had to be the sexiest song from the era, and here was Lucy sandwiched between two hunks when the music began.

She wondered if the guys would move away, but instead she thought they got closer, if that were at all possible.

Dammit , she thought . This will never happen again and I don’t care what I look like, I’m going to enjoy this!

Lucy finally let go of the last of her inhibitions, letting herself relax and enjoy being with two sensual men. She closed her eyes and let the music take her away. Her hands waving in the air, she could feel other hands running up and down her body.

Sebastian thrust against her buttocks, so she pushed back toward him. Meanwhile, Jack’s hands were everywhere—her arms, her waist, her neck, her face. She had never felt so sexy, or so powerful, as these two men put all their attention on her.

Lucy had this overwhelming urge to rip off her clothes and let these two explore her body.

In her mind, she imagined there was no fabric between Jack’s roaming hands and her body.

She could feel something pressing against her and knew it wasn’t Sebastian’s hand.

Daringly, she slid a leg between Jack’s, so he laughed and began humping it.

He tugged her even closer to him and Sebastian pressed himself harder against her.

Lucy knew her nipples were hard points—they’d be obvious to anyone who looked if her dress wasn’t black.

How she managed to make it through to the end of the song without pushing one of the guys to the nearest table and climbing onto him, she never knew. But make it she did.

When the song finally finished, she could feel Sebastian kissing her neck and Jack’s hands had wandered close to those tell-tale nipples. They broke apart and Jack stood looking down at her.

“If that was someone who can’t dance, I’d hate to see someone who could. That was totally amazing! Shit, I think I need a cold shower!”

“I don’t think, I know I need one.” Sebastian shook his head. “Hell, Lucy, you are one sexy woman!”

These two men had actually been excited by her! She couldn’t believe it! The three of them left the dance floor arm-in-arm and made their way back to where their drinks were. Glancing around, she couldn’t see Rob. Hopefully he’d gotten the message.

“If you’re looking for the rock troll, he left halfway through that last, er ... dance.” Sebastian stood very close to her and had whispered in her ear.

The warmth of his breath on her did wonderful, erotic things to her body.

Sebastian passed Lucy her glass and she took a sip.

Jack pointed out one of her co-workers who was waving, trying to get her attention.

“Oh damn, I’d better get back.” Lucy couldn’t monopolize these two men’s time any longer. She turned slightly to face Sebastian. “Thank you so much for everything.”

“You’re most welcome. I hope we can dance again later in the evening.”

Lucy nodded and smiled at him.

“We’ll definitely see you before you go and, if you’ll permit, can we ring you, maybe take you to dinner one night?”

Surprised but delighted, Lucy said, “I’d love to.”

“Great.”

Sebastian kissed her softly on the lips and when he straightened Jack leaned in and did the same. It surprised her. Oh wow, how on earth could you pick between these two?

“Catch you later on, gorgeous.”

Jack winked as she brushed past him to return to her co-workers. When she reached them, she wanted to turn back and look at the two men but wasn’t brave enough.

One of the girls standing near the table gestured to her clutch. “Your phone’s been ringing on and off a lot. Don’t know if it’s important but wanted you to know.”

“Thanks, Barb. I’ll check it.”

“So, who are the two hunks? I’ve seen them here often. I think they are here at least once a month.”

“Um ... just new friends.”

“Oh yeah, it really looked like it out there on the dance floor.”

Lucy blushed and quickly picked up her purse, pulling out her cell phone. There were about six missed calls from her daughter, Allison, so Lucy checked in case she’d left a message—she had.

Allison: Mum, r u @ home? Baby’s sick.

Lucy quickly redialed her daughter’s number, but it was so noisy in the room now. She pushed her way through to the hallway leading to the bathrooms where it was quieter.

“Allison? It’s mum.”

“Oh, Mum, thank goodness. Geoff’s on duty tonight and Davie’s running a temp.

I’m worried. I haven’t got any kid’s paracetamol, and I don’t want to take him outside.

I’d have to wake the twins as well. When I didn’t get an answer at your house, I figured you were out and wondered if you were near here. ”

“I’m about twenty minutes away, sweetheart. I’ll call into an all-night chemist and pick up something. Is he okay or should you take him to the hospital?”

“I think it’s just his teeth, but he has a rotten cold as well.”

“Okay, I’ll see you in about half an hour.”

“Oh thanks, Mum.” She could hear the relief in Allison’s voice. “If I can just get him to settle and sleep, I think he’ll be fine.”

Lucy hung up and went back to the group.

She quickly explained that her little grandson had taken ill and she needed to leave.

She looked around for Jack or Sebastian but couldn’t see either.

Disappointed, she’d wanted to tell them she had to leave and the reason why.

She’d hate them to think she’d just snuck off.

Maybe they hadn’t meant it when they wanted to take her to dinner, but she would love to see them again. Sadly, now it wouldn’t happen.

She thanked Barb and, with her fingers crossed, said, “If anyone asks for me can you let them know I was called away for a family emergency.”

As she fought her way through the crowded club, she searched but couldn’t see either of the men.

It was impossible to see everywhere and she was too worried about Davie to search them out.

Maybe she should have told Barb to give them her number, but then the more she thought about it, the more she figured they were just being polite.

She made it outside and walked quickly to her car.

“Well, my adventure’s over before it even started. Still, I’ll never forget that dance.”
