Story: Only Ever Yours

Ellie

The weekend has flown by, and today is my first day going to work with Jaydon.

He asked if I wanted to ride with him this morning, and I couldn’t think of a reason not to—other than I’m still pissed at him, but I guess that’s just a normal thing for us.

Because seriously , when am I not pissed at him?

Ugh, and my fucking sister… she’s nonstop fucking with me.

I got a text from her last night while I was lying in bed, to let me know she just had phone sex with Jaydon. I didn’t even reply to her.

I don't have time for her stupid ass. And I don’t have a fucking clue as to why Jaydon would continue messing with her, then act the way he does with me .

I will ignore him today and pretend not to be bothered by his sexy-as-fuck self, wearing his dress pants and the button-down he normally wears to work.

And he doesn’t even wear it correctly, no—the asshole rolls up the sleeves, showcasing his thick forearms. The urge to just run my tongue all over those tatted-up muscles drives me wild. I've thought about those arms more times than I can count while holding my vibrating friend.

Checking the time, I know I need to hurry. I slide on my black stiletto heels and spray one last pump of perfume before making my way down the stairs.

Like I figured, Jaydon is standing there in the kitchen, waiting by the door with his bag slung over his shoulder. He’s punctual, never being late for anything. Me, on the other hand, well, I’m a fucking mess running late on the daily.

His head lifts from his phone when he hears the click of my heels, and his mouth drops.

“Oh no, you’re not fucking wearing that.” He points towards the stairs. “Go put something else on.”

I bite back a grin, running a hand through my perfectly curled hair, and hold my head high.

“Oh, Jaydon. I’m so glad you think you have the authority to tell me what I can wear.” I run both palms down my skirt, pretending to polish my look. “I’m dressed perfectly fine for an office position—Professional. Now, let's go, I don’t want to be late on my first day. ”

“Oh, Peachy, no fucking way are you wearing that fucking skirt in my fucking office,” his eyes lower to my feet, “those fucking heels too.” He scrubs his hand over his face, his heated eyes roaming my body, then landing on my perfectly unbuttoned blouse.

I left the top two buttons undone and wore my favorite lace push-up bra on purpose.

The white silk top, paired with my black pencil skirt and stiletto heels, makes me feel amazing, and I know I look sexy as fuck wearing it.

Maybe even a little slutty too, but that’s the vibe I was going for.

The need to mess with his head is front and center, and I’m relishing in the fact that he can't stand it.

He thinks he can mess with me, and my sister, too.

Well, he has a lesson to learn. I roll my eyes and walk closer to him. “Jaydon, I am wearing this,” I say as I gesture my hand down my body. “Let's go.”

He crosses his arms across his thick chest, looking hot as hell, biting his bottom lip. I know he’s pissed, but he has no control over me.

“Nope, not fucking going anywhere. I’m gonna stand here until you go change.”

I can't hold back any longer; I bust out laughing. His eyebrows reach his forehead, and he stares at me.

“Jay, are you fucking serious right now? Let's go.” I push his arm, trying to move him out the door, but he doesn’t budge. Not even a little .

His phone buzzes, breaking our stare-down.

He pulls it from his pocket and reads the text. “Fuck.”

“What’s wrong?” I search his face.

“I need to get into the office. Something is fucked up with the software.”

I take that as my chance to open the door and exit the house. I don’t look back because I know he won't be too far behind me.

When we step inside the office, all eyes are on me.

I’m used to getting attention, but not this much.

A couple of guys even rise up from their seats.

I like this place already. My cheeks heat with all the testosterone boiling up in the room right now.

I can feel it. Fuck, this feels good—the power a woman can hold over a man.

I feel like royalty around here, and I’ve only just stepped in the door.

I bite back a grin. This is going to be fun.

Jaydon shifts beside me and steps in a little too close before dipping his head to my ear. “You’re gonna be working in my office today.” He speaks barely above a whisper, but his possessive, deep voice tugs something inside me .

I knew he would pull some stupid shit like this with me, but I’ll play his little game for now.

“Aren’t you going to introduce me to anyone?” My smile is the fakest it's been in a while, when I bat my lashes up at him.

His eyes never leave mine. “They're busy. Come with me.”

I scoff and fall in step behind him as we make our way down a short hallway away from the others.

When we step into his office, he turns on the lights and shuts the door behind us.

“Why do I have to work in here? Where is your assistant's desk? Can't I sit out there and work?”

Totally ignoring the latter part of my questions, he speaks. “I’m showing you what to do, so I need you in here with me.”

He reaches to turn on his computer, apparently setting up for the day, and shuffling papers around on his desk .

“I’m sure one of the other guys would be happy to show me how things work around here.” I bite on the inside of my lip, waiting for his response.

I see the flash in his eyes when he speaks.

He knows I’m testing him. “I said I’m showing you what you need to do.

I’m the boss, not those fuckers out there.

” He nods to the empty table when he speaks.

“You should have plenty of room to work there. You can use my chair for now. I will be up and about the office throughout the day. I’ve already ordered a new chair for you.

Give me a bit, and I will grab you a laptop. ”

Damn, he's hot when he's being all professional.

I don’t even have a chance to respond because he’s already making his way out the door.

Well, I guess I will just sit here and do nothing.

I’m scrolling on social media when the door to his office opens. Although, it's not Jaydon I see when I raise my head. However, this man sure as hell gives Jaydon a run for his money in the looks department. No wonder he didn’t want to introduce me to anyone.

Are they all this fucking good-looking ?

“Oh, hi, please excuse me. I thought Jay was in here.”

“Sorry, it’s just me.” I drop my phone on the table and stand, nervously brushing my hands down the backside of my skirt. This man is fine as hell, revealing a grin that’s almost as panty-drenching as Jaydon’s. Heat sears my cheeks at that thought.

His eyes drag the length of my body. “I'm not sorry one bit about seeing you,” he chuckles. I stand as he approaches me, holding his hand out for me to take. “Nice to meet you. I’m Blake.”

I can't help but smile at his outwardly flirting; he's definitely winning in the looks department, that’s for sure, but there is only one man who’s making my panties wet on a daily basis.

“Nice to meet you as well. I’m sorry we weren’t introduced earlier. Jaydon is—” The force of the door opening further has it slamming against the office wall.

“What the fuck is going on here?” Jaydon roars into the room.

The audacity of this man has me rolling my eyes.

But much to my surprise, Blake continues holding my hand.

Even though I try pulling away, his grip tightens.

Jaydon's intense stare burns into us as he stands in the doorway.

While looking at Jaydon, he pulls my hand close to his lips like he's about to kiss the back of my hand. And I’m just standing here in a daze, my heart pounding out of my chest, watching the glare on Jay's face. He’s going to kill him.

Just before his lips meet my skin, his hold suddenly loosens.

Instead of the kiss I was anticipating, he drops my hand and throws his head back in laughter.

The tension on Jaydon's face eases slightly, but his eyes stay narrow with threat as he watches Blake having the time of his life, his laughter bouncing off the walls like he just pulled the greatest prank in his life.

His cocky swagger is evident when he steps towards Jaydon with his chest puffed out. “I fucking knew it!” he declares, totally ignoring the fact that Jaydon was seconds away from ripping his head off.

Jaydon's jaw clenches, still obviously affected by what just went down.

“Thanks for confirming all of our suspicions, man,” he adds with a chuckle, slapping Jaydon on the back of his shoulder as he walks past him to exit the room.

“I sign your paycheck, asshole!” Jaydon yells after him, but he’s already out of eyesight.

What the hell was that?

He shuts the door—a little too hard— with the push of his foot, then spins to face me once again. That’s when I finally notice the two cups of coffee he’s carrying.

“Sorry, I was gone so long. Figured you might want one of these,” he says, lifting one of the cups from the carrying tray and holding it out to me. It's pink with the familiar Sprinkles logo printed on the sleeve, and it instantly brings a smile to my face.

I think I’m still in shock from the whole situation before, because I can't seem to find anything to say. My thoughts run wild as I take the cup from his hand.

Are we really not gonna talk about what just happened?

“Trey, one of my best guys, is configuring a new laptop for you.” He nods his head backwards towards the door. “Getting all the software set up that you will need.”

I nod. “Okay, well, thanks for the coffee. You didn’t have to do that.”

“No big deal. I kinda wanted to taste someone on my lips while I work today.” He grins, his true cocky self, shining through.

My cheeks flush.

His words would make any hot-blooded woman's panties a mess. Dammit, I hate how he can so easily do this shit to me.
