Danger is never far away, and whether she’s mine or not, I will protect her with my life. The stakes are higher than ever. Fear clings to me like sweat whenever a threat is near her. But my girl is strong and capable. I know she’ll push through and fight to the end.

The problem with knowing everything is that you already know when you’ve been beaten.
