She was nine when it happened, and ten years later she still can’t put the pieces together. Her father, who has since become imperious and overprotective, refuses to touch on the subject while forcing Aurelia to remain hidden – unable to leave the confines of her home.
But when a vivid dream comes to her again and again, she can’t resist the urge to find out more. She has to unveil what the dream is trying to tell her – why she can’t remember her childhood before her mother was brutally taken from her.
After escaping her father, she finds a brooding stranger named Elias who agrees to escort her to a forgotten corner of the world, where she is certain her answers lie. She is unsure why she is so drawn to Elias, but he may be the only person able and willing to help her.
